There's a medium quality RAW out there (don't ask).

This is a lot closer to the manga and covers chapters 3-4 and beyond. I've no idea how it compares to the novels, but I presume it's quite close.

One worry I (and a few others had) over ep 1 is that they hadn't really conveyed the full flavour of Horo's personality. Well, this ep pretty much put those to rest - I don't think we'll have to worry about a "dumbed down" Horo, thank goodness.

Lawrence's voice sounded better this week too.

Looking good! (Only complaint for this ep is that sometimes the BGM masked the speaking)

Watched ep 2 and was entertained again, though the sub would be helpful in understanding the dialogue. (I got the gist of it until it went past what the manga covered)

I loved her little speech putting off the guy who wanted to take a look at her. I loved the Amisuke musical "Oh!" at 2:30. And I loved it when she dropped into melancholy near the end. I was just thinking that the only thing that could dull the lustre of this brilliant performance is if we got too much of the same voice. Then she dropped into that touching melancholy voice. Actually, the only thing that could dull the lustre is if the story isn't fascinating enough. Since I've read the manga, I know what happens up to here. She is so happy and cheerful yet at times she can be saddened so much. Youthful yet full of wisdom. Playful as well as serious. It is lovely to see horo and lawrence's relationship getting stronger, but it is very subtle and deep. Horo seems to act like a guardian for lawrence, using her experience that she has accumulate through time, yet she isn't fully understanding of human feelingts, pushing lawrence to the point where he gets angry. Even so this has become yet another piece of experience for horo...and the bond they share is growing. Horo really is a great character and that just gets more clear with this episode. Deathkillz really got it right. A lot of depth and able to show so many sides at any moment. Going from an energetic and teasing mode to sad and serious. Just never know what side of her your going to get to see (well at times the entire her ). Was fun to watch her wolf(yeah I know but it seemed appropriate) down the food and then end up choking a bit. True enough everyone might have a tail fetish before the end of this. But really it is a beautiful tail and Horo is quite proud of it. So can't be all that bad a thing. Lawrence did react quite a bit more than the last episode. Probably because he's more comfortable around her. Even though he turned around almost immediately he couldn't help going back for another look. A good idea for Horo to have some wheat available. Just never know when a situation could arise that changing even partially to wolf might be a good idea. At least easier than going into the cart and grabbing some. Curious about Lawrence's past now. Looks like he was attacked by wolves in the past? Wonder about the people he was with and seems at least one person didn't make it away. __________________ Anime-Evo
