I really don't like the english dubb for the shaman king series.
Here are 2 reasons why
1.Manta is renamed morty in the english dubb
2.They give Ren (who is chinese) a british accent

Not really a fan of most dubs. While there may be many good ones out there, I have seen far too many horrible ones to even risk listening, though from time to time I will listen for curiousity's sake. That typically doesn't end well for my ears.

Maybe not the worst dub of all time, but certainly the worst one I can think of at this time that leaves a horrible taste in my mouth (and makes me worry about FUNimation's dubbing of Jigoku Shoujo and Shuffle!) is Negima; horrible localization and maybe one or two voice actors fit the characters - most of the girls sound like valley girl ditzes. They could have at least used a female voice for Negi like they did in the Japanese version. It wasn't a problem with Loki, so why not?

Oh, and pretty much everything 4kids does is evil. Eviiiiiil.

to me, it honestly had to be one piece. And Shaman King, o god their accents never even matched the characters not to mention their nationalities.

IMO dubs suck by their nature. No, really. What can you expect from a dub, if it changes the original sence of the sentence just to "fit in the time"? Hell, it sucks! And not only with anime. It is much better to watch in the original language, and use subtitles if you cant understand it.

Normally, I dislike dubs. However, the dub for the Ranma 1/2 series and Ah! My Goddess OAV was done fairly well. Other than that, I would never make myself suffer through a dub.

LOVE HINA!!!!
omg, I know Kitsune has an accent, but DAMN did she sound bad. The whole dub overall sucked ass.

But, for good dubs, ROD The TV was dead on. The script matched the japanese very well, and the characters voices matched their japanese voices nearly perfectly. My favorite dub hah.
Excel Saga had a great dub as well. The v/a's fit their parts perfectly.

on Love hina, I watched just up till Kitsune starts talking, then hit the buttons on my ps2 dvd controller to change it to japanese, then subtitles.

Angel Sanctuary

Whereas Setsuna's voice...emotions....anger...desperation, confusion was WONDERFULLY, and IMPECCABLY portrayed by Kenji Nojima, the english dub was absolutely HORRID.

I did a thread search, and didn't find any mention of Outlanders in this thread, to my shocking surprise.

Trish Ledoux attempting to voice act, anyone?
Or was it too scarring an experience, that people are shutting it out of their memories?

This is not going to be very constructive.

I'll just say that Cowboy Bebop and Golden Boy are the only decent English dubs I've heard to date, all the other dubs I've heard are pretty much equally unbearable.

The pokemon dub has been painful to watch, more so than usual. These new VA's are horrible, epecially satoshi's. For Kids desperately needs to be banished from this plain of existance, post haste. They've ruined far too many works of animation to ever be forgiven.

Oh yes, I had nearly forgotten about Angel Sanctuary. Silly me. Yes, I detested the Angel Sanctuary dub, mostly because of Setsuna. If there were any voices that truly fit the character as they should have, I don't recall.

I keep thinking that Japan is about the only place where voice actor is pretty popular. Because from what I heard Chinese dub is bad too, from this kid I know he said the he once heard Goku's voice in a toilet commercial of some kind in Taiwan. In the US the dub for most anime is just horrible. In Korea it's pretty bad in my opinion. I think that t's just that there isn't enough voice actor for anime to dub it so their is limited actors for it and that is the reason why it is so horrible in other countries. Still there is no excuse for dub of One Piece, that thing was just bad.

Naruto at least has a decent dub, it used to sound terrible in the beginning and it isn't bad now...either that or I'm just used to it :/

For me the Bleach dub is terrible...every voice is pretty much bad besides Ichigo.

Something that really annoyed me was they used the same VA/voice for Rukia and Yoruichi so especially when they are in the same scene it makes you go wtf.

Then some of the other voices like Orihime just make me cringe while listening lol.
