Easy names are the best.

Horde:
Orc Warrior 'Kralok'
Belf Paladin 'Elriko'
Belf Death Knight 'Khyron'

Alliance:
Dwarf Warrior 'Belarodin' (<- Ok that is the most complicated name I came up with ever)

I'm proud that I don't need to use ^ ´ or `in my names, with some imagination you don't need this stuff...

I name all my characters after randomly generated names from SRPGs I've played. Mostly Disgaea and FFT. Basically, I name my characters after the generic guys that I built up and became attached to. These usually end up being kind of normal but still uncommon names.

Edit:

Ixitixl - Shaman
Marlone - Paladin
Kriemhild - Druid
Agaliarept - Hunter

Well, since everyone else is doing it

Bartley - Hunter
Zarlish - DK
Galvados - Warrior
Zetsu - Warlock
Kawasumi - Rogue
Kiritsugu - another Rogue
Irisa - old Hunter
Spruke - Shaman
Sophiaesteed - Mage (Yes, I very much regret naming my character that, this was before paid name changes became available and I actually got a friend to report me and try to get it changed, the GM was on to us though)

Of all these, only Bartley is 80 and Zarlish is the only alt I still play. Just don't really see the point of leveling any other alts anymore.

*Thinks a moment*
I have no awesome characters so I'll just list the ones I can remember.

Lukita - NE Warrior (First character zomg)
Etria - BE Death Knight
Lanissa - NE Death Knight
Rushiena - Dr Paladin
Frimelda - BE Paladin

Only 3 of those actually got used though. Well Lukita did waaaay back. Etria I made before I just kind of lost interest in everything.

They all end with an 'a'. Was that intentional?

Selina - Priest; was my first WoW character. I thought I was being highly original, but it turns out that Selina is actually a popular girls name. I love lording it over the copycats!

Vexana - Shaman; Was my BC reroll, for the longest time there was only me and one other person who had the name, incidentally they were the original EQ name holder who I hijacked the name from.

Rexel - PH Gnome; left over name of my character from EQ, apparently a power company in NZ or something, here I thought I was being original again!

Rexette - Mage; female Rexel made 'cute' Mage, highly original naming.

Esperansa - Warlock; means faith apparently, seemed like the awesomeness at the time. I had lots of people come up and start gabbering at me in spanish too because of it.

Hilde - Death Knight; Well this name was a deliberate choice. First, Hilde in Old Norse means battle which suited a Death Knight, second it suited the themes of Northrend being heavily Norse influenced, third it has links to Valkyrie's which are prevalent through out Norse history and Northrend and a Death Knight could be seen as one twisted Valkyrie.

I have some other names from some other sources that I can't remember off the top of my head but I have Blaumeux and Capernian saved among others. Lots of my characters (in any game) follow a similar thought process as Hilde (I just remember hers since it was the last). I'm a bit of an old school Baldurs Gate fan (I'd say DnD but no one really near where I lived had the PnP version), so I like giving characters names that are sensible and somewhat make sense, doesn't have to be high fantasy or anything like that though. It's just that a good and sensible name helps me relate to the character better and enjoy it more. Although I'm not against the odd funny name, like a gnome called Footstool or a Frost Mage call Frosticle.

Well... my charnames tend to be thematic. The Taurens being my favourite race, I have cycled through a lot of names as I experimented with different classes.

Ragebull is my current main, and it is a play on Redbull. Whereas the latter gives you wings, the former gives you wins. Being a Warrior, the "Rage" also has relevant meaning. Not to mention it's a hella lot easy to remember.

Then I had Tenderherb, my first Tauren before I settled on a theme, and Banebull the Death Knight, Peacebull the Druid, Gunbull the Hunter, Madcow the female Fury-Warrior, Holycow the female Resto-Shaman, etc...

For Trolls, they all end in -mon. Shockemon, my Elemental Shaman for example.

Cheers.

mmm i dont rly have a favorite race but i usualy choose blood elves for spell casters i dont play Alliance char a lot (nor any of my other characters)

Unavailible - Holy Paladin (80) BE

Menethiljr - Frost/Unholy DK (72) BE (wish i had made a tauren instead but decided the name wouldn't go with it)

ûnavailible - Subliety rogue (28) Undead

Dyonysis - Marksman (39) BE

Magevendor - Fire (37) BE

I Tend to keep my characters names a bit simple or i kinda try to make them funny i had given my mage a pretty bad name and wished i had thought back and named him Blinkinpants
and my Paladin Hölycráp

Depends on when he started playing them. Death Knights aside, Hunters and Paladins were not exactly known for their ability to kill things in the past. Paladins actually only started to bite back fairly recently.

DK is actually not that great in pve raids. Looking at the dps table pattern of my raid, their max dps potential is lower than warlocks and mages at the moment.
Ret pallies also have the same problem as DK but only worst. Their dps leveled off quickly.

PvP is another beast though, I havent pvped since arena been introduced.

I wasn't even talking about end-game PVE, I was talking about leveling and PVP. Hunters were tedious, and paladins... good god, the horror. Anyone else here remember the 'auto attack and go get something to drink' routine?

In the past, Paladins were build to outlast their enemies. Which they did. However, it also meant that while they could outlast almost any enemy, killing them was a slooooow process.

Wish my guild would give up on the PTR already. Lag makes Hodir a very fun fight. Can't avoid the falling ice because by the time I've seen the snow graphic it has already hit me, and can't avoid flash freeze because even though I appear to be standing on a snow pile I'm actually halfway across the room. Really fun having our raid "mysteriously" auto-disbanded and then kicked off the server while other guilds somehow don't experience this at all and go on to get kills. I don't care if the top guilds get priority for testing but if they intend to do that they shouldn't go around saying it's a public test and then just kick everyone else off in the middle of it.

At least have some idea what you're talking about before you go criticizing someone else's class choices.

Leveling is always boring in my book no matter what class once you figure out
the most efficient attack.

Atleast with a auto atk and afk class, you could watch anime while you level.

And take ten times longer to do so. I prefer my class be able to do one or two quests in an hour of casual play, not a whole day.
