That's awfully specific. Is that an in-joke I'm missing, or do y'all really time your work that closely?

Great episode, I really liked the ending. Such a pity it was only 6 episodes long, there was so much left unanswered. But to me that's also a part of the charm for this series.

It was a little fuzzy to me, but was that Nagi or Sammy on the computer screen at the end?

Nagi. She said to be the cause of the problem, somehow)

I know I could have checked it myself, but...

Is this finished? And if yes, is it available [/on crunchyroll] for non-anime members yet?

Omg, I can't believed that this amazing series has just finished right before my eyes with such an open ended "to be continued" note.

I nearly shed a tear for this episode too when watching Tex speak in order to protect his life long friend and finally that block head gets the point.

I Really want another season for this sometime in the near future as it simply is quite the gem masterpiece amongst other stuff that tries to be "deep/emotional" but ends up failing.

Absolutely.

This time the reference to THX 1138 wasn't quite as subtle. And three letter robot designations turned colloquially into names (THX -> Tex) is a nod to Asimov.

I seemed to me as if they purposely inserted even more open questions into the final episode than there were already. For example, why do Sammy and Nagi disagree on how Sammy came to the café? Plus the strange look from Nagi? Was there any reason for this scene except to lay ground for the sequel? I'd love to see a sequel of course. Or should I be careful what to wish for?

Sammy's image song is titled "Yasashii Jikan no Naka de," or according to the Eve no Jikan (TIME OF EVE) official website in English, "Time of Tenderness." It is heard as an insert song sung by Sammy in Episode 5 and as the ending theme song for Episode 6.

Here are the ending theme song credits for Episode 6 of Eve no Jikan:

Title: "Yasashii Jikan no Naka de" ("Time of Tenderness")
Lyrics: BANANA ICE
Composition and Arrangement: Okada Tooru
Vocals: Tanaka Rie (Sammy)

I added these insert song and ending theme song credits to the Anime News Network Encyclopedia entry, Eve no Jikan (ONA).

Hmmm... maybe I'll give this series a shot when "season 2" comes along?

But seriously, FukuJun and Tanaka Rie + others: hard to fail, unless the script is Samurai Deeper Kyo-level.

This show is made of all kinds of win. Atmosphere, plot(yeah the greater setup hinted at), interactions, wow.

To think it started with a fleeting comparison made to YKK...

I don't think this show deserves the praise it's getting. It's just a bunch of loosely connected, largely nonsensical stories involving robots and opaque human characters, peppered with sci-fi references to hype up the show. There is no overarching message or plot, despite the little conspiracy-hint near the end of the last ep.

None of the abnormalities are ever explained, like why robots that haven't been so programmed can feel and act on emotions, or why they would all gravitate to this one cafe.
Instead we get a bunch of antropomorphized robots "searching for answers" to the human emotions they're apparently feeling, nonsensical or missing explanations for how they got there, shallow examinations of how humans treat them, silly last-minute conspiracies, and downright horrible tear-jerkers.
Where's the deep examination of the presented social issues relating to the spread of robots? Oh right, the news flashes. Those were more interesting than the actual show, they should have just played those for two hours.

Missed opportunity, 5/10
