A bit over 5 days until the floodgates open.

Mario Williams, Vincent Jackson, Mike Wallace and Matt Flynn just to name a few. But Manning alone is going to send this through the roof.

Yea, that's a lot of man-tears.

;.;
If Peyton Manning can cry, then it's okay for every man to cry.

I still remember his rookie season he played against Steve Young. He's been around that long.

I doubt Wallace will get that much attention. The Steelers tendered him, and I doubt many teams will think he's worth a first rounder. Not to say he isn't good, but his production dimished quite a bit in the second half of the season. Granted that could be due to double-teams and such, but still. Unless a team is really struggling at the WR position and set most everywhere else, I'd expect them to just go for the draft.

Sounds pretty Chicago, but I'd imagine they'd want Vincent Jackson most.

Over a third of the NFL (12 teams) have contacted Peyton's reps.

I'm guessing he goes to Arizona as his first choice. It's a dome and he'll already have a top receiver there. The defense for the Cardinals is also pretty decent and the run game has gained some respectability back.

If not there, then I'm guessing the Dolphins. He has an offseason home there, and I get the feeling the Dolphins organization will try their hardest not to botch this one after missing out of Drew Brees and not getting Jim Harbaugh.

That is the 'third strike' scenario being pitched about Miami. You'd figure they would go for him.

But on that token, Seattle also have an owner with a lot of collateral, a defense that has markedly improved and an offense that is a couple of pieces from being explosive. The other thing is they have a seasoned coach in Carroll. We don't know how good Philbin is in the NFL circuits. That is a risky venture to place your bets in. You need a coach that has enough of their own philosophy and charisma but also one that will give Peyton the room he needs to perceive defenses and call plays as needed. There's numerous positives about Miami, Seattle, Arizona and Kansas City for teams not far off the playoff picture. Within it, there is suggestion the 49ers could somehow acquire him.

The Jets are the really up in the air one - when Sanchez was firing, they were damn hard to beat. But when he was down, they were really down. And there is building momentum that if Rex Ryan could get someone in that top level, he'd do it at all costs. Which would mean Sanchez would take a hike and there'd be a lot more to come with it (the NY media, Peyton and Eli being in the same city).

Well, the guy has just left his home of 14 years. He's got a week to clear his head before he decides to jump into it.

I personally want him to go to Seattle.

It also should be noted that both Jeff Saturday and Reggie Wayne have basically stated that they'll try to go where Peyton goes.

It'd be smart to at least get Saturday. Perhaps Wayne. But if possible, prioritize Saturday.

Tony Dungy and Marshall Faulk saying Peyton wont play in the NFC East or the NFC. Which makes sense.

And Wayne apparently said on some talk radio show that he's leaning toward Miami, and to "think about that combination! Peyton / Wayne / Marshall, the NFL wouldn't like that!" or something along those lines.

Manning to the Fins would be what I'd wanna see, if the Jets can get their shit together again (starting to look unlikely) that would be one hell of an AFC East.

The 49ers have said 1,000 times they aren't going after Peyton.

Agreed. I'm hoping he goes to Arizona.

I think since last offseason Harbaugh has pretty much such his boot up all the naysayer's asses. So he gets the benefit of the doubt here.

The Colts have cut Joseph Addai, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullett, and Dallas Clark and is shopping Dwight Freeney for a trade.

Brandon Jacobs have been cut.

Raiders and Palmer restructured his contract, giving the Raiders about 9 million more in cap to worth with, but cut CB Chris Johnson.

Yeah, they seem intent on completely blowing the team up.
