Ok, thinking there was a shot that the Eagles/Giants game would be good was dumb. Guess I'll watch my shitty Bears instead.

Beautiful touchdown by Bennett though.

Yea, they're playing well, but Lovie Smith needs to go, and their destroying the Lions today isn't going to help with the greater good.

If I had any faith in the consistency of our offense, I'd be excited. Sadly, I have zero faith in that. So, I'd much rather have better drafts and a chance to unload Lovie, than to get demolished in San Fran by San Fran in round one. The frustration over having such a good defense and lousy offense (that can, at times, look fantastic), is excruciating.

If my Bears pull off some Cinderella miracle, I'll be the first to eat crow.

Edit: Though, it's all probably academic, as I'm fairly certain we're winning today, and that GB is winning, so Lovie is safe. I know I should just accept it and enjoy the game, but I haaaaaaaaaaaaaate Lovie. Haaaaaaaaaate him.

Bears win, so they eliminate the Giants, and need Minnesota to lose to clinch a playoff spot.

We'll have new champions this year.

Okay, Texans lost. Announcers, please stop reiterating every 4 minutes that if Denver wins, they get #1, but if they lose and New England wins, they get the #1 spot. It's been like 10 minutes since they announced Houston lost, and the announcers have made this scenario declaration three times already.

I don't know, they could play the Bengals and maybe scrape one out. Ravens kept the game within one possession and were mainly benching their starters.

Minnesota is playing inspired football in the Metrodome so far. Let's see if Green Bay can get their wits about themselves.

That wouldn't be surprising. They've looked vulnerable for weeks.

Words I never thought I'd say:

Cards leading Niners 6-0. lol

Rams putting up a hell of a fight against the Hawks, and Vikings putting the hurt on Green Bay.

Could be a very interesting afternoon.

Man, all the NFC teams locked into the playoffs have decided to take naps so far.

I'm being entertained by AP at least. When you think at how horrible Christian Ponder is, it just makes what AP has done this year that much more impressive. I really hope he breaks the record, even if I will never in a million years root for the Vikings to win a game.

On another note, in regards to the Rams, how do you have zero Division losses and fail to make the playoffs? I'm curious when the last time that's occurred for any team.

Didn't that happen to Oakland a few years back? Or was it "barely" making it in for them? I don't recall.

Also, Rams didn't win all their games. They tied one.

Peterson breaks 2k yards. Damn, it's going to be sickening if he doesn't win MVP. I see the Vikings as a 2-3 win team with anyone else at RB for them.

Anyone else think Seattle needs to swallow their pride and rest their starters in the fourth? With the Vikings and Niners games turning out the way they are, and the number of sacks Wilson is receiving, is there any actual point in keeping them in?

Edit: That onside kick cracks me up. If Carroll thinks this game is meaningless (and it is, at this point), why not pull your starters?

Well, San Francisco took care of business against the Cardinals. Seattle might as well rest their starters, they'll have to play three road playoff games to get to the big dance. Good luck.

Now all we need is Minnesota to hold on and give the 49ers a first round bye.

San Francisco 49ers: 2012 NFC West Champs.

Ponder might of just made the throw of his life.

Edit: this Minnesota/Green Bay is the game of the day by far. Green Bay playing for a bye; Minnesota fighting for their playoff lives.
