>2010 ... Well, like I mentioned before, economy is in a bit of a rut so I guess this is expected. Anyways, they managed to get us the Animation and the Natural within 3 consecutive quarters, whereas most anime get released a DVD at a time within the same period. Seems like there is no hope for the manga, though. Those bastards at Tokyopop. |

Actually TP just got through admitting they were going to have to release more (volume 5 now newly scheduled for November).
Their public rationale was pathetic though.... :P ("sales of ARIA started picking up" .... yeah, sure) There is the simple proposition that "if we can't trust you to finish a series, why should we buy into your products at all?" ....hmmm.

Pleased to hear the announcement that the OVA and The Origination were getting a release, pity we have to wait until next year, but it's good to know I'll be able to complete the set. They'll be getting my order as soon as they start accepting them.
Good to hear the manga isn't quite dead yet. I gather that sales for volumes 1, 2 and 3 were poor, so they were going to cancel it, but sales for volume 4 were a lot higher and exceeded supply, so they're going to continue. The reasons sales for volume 4 were higher than for volumes 1, 2 and 3 should be obvious to anyone - most people probably had the ADV print and didn't want to buy them again, whereas volume 4 was the first 'new' volume... Mind you, I'll believe volume 5 when I see it. |

In France, i have been waiting for Vol 8 + Arietta for +6 months. Not it's scheduled between mid-July & mid-September.
Along the way i picked up Alpha artbook expensive but worth it. I just hope the Right stuf's lithographies won't turn obscenely expensive to purchase. |

Aww... 2010 for the Origination... I was hoping for October or December so I could make it a birthday or christmas gift to myself. Oh well at least it was announced. I was starting to get worried that they weren't going to release it.

out of curiosity, what song do you guys think would fit the theme of "moving on/growing up" as depicted in Origination? i have time to burn next week and i'm trying to motivate myself to make an AMV. i've been formulating it in my head, but i can't seem to find a song that makes my inner fire burn. Last one i made, i did it in two sittings because i had the motivation and the perfect song..
