If you go back and complete Nagisa's route again, you'll be asked if you want to replace your old Nagisa-data with your new one -- your choices (e.g. who you spoke to, whether or not you helped Yoshino) will affect the events in After Story.

Sorry, I can't remember exactly what she said in the anime. But the VN Fuko says

"Are you there?"
"This is Fuko."
"What is your name?"
"Please tell."
"Be Fuko's friend, and let's play together."
"From now on..."
"There will be lots of fun!"

...and the screen flashes white, showing the girl at the bottom of the tree

I hate to ask this but why lots of people seems to hate Clannad: After Story so much. Maybe not here but in Myanimelist and some other forums that I went its hatedom is pretty huge. Its hard to discuss the show without getting trolled, much like Code Geass R2.

My opinion on the "hate issue"

I think Clannad AS is better and far more mature in content than Clannad S1. They might hate it because the focus of the season is more on family, that is building a family to be exact. It's different from the S1 which more on "having friends and love". I'm proud to say that the AS should be praise because it's focus on family and responsible parenthood (seriously) than just the usual high school lovey-dovey approach, which for me is kinda more unrealistic.

It's family friendly!

But 80% of the haters aren't trolls at all. In fact they are die-hard fans of the first season. I also partially agree with genjichan on reason why AS was hated.

I think most fans want to see Nagisa to stay dead. Instead she was 'saved' from death and continue on living, making her the ultimate winner of the show. I think Nagisa had one of the characters that having underserved hatedom in this world.

I don't know if this will be answered, but:

To any game veterans, would this be a good anime to watch? I'm thinking of breaking my self-ban on anime (watched only Gundam Seed and Angel Beats! in the past ten years) if this was a worthwhile adaptation to watch.

I think that Clannad is a great anime and even improves upon the original in some places (making all the characters more involved with each other).

Agreed; the anime faithfully weaves all the storylines in the game into one amazing narrative (well, without making Tomoya a polygamist).

Also, in the VN, taking one route effectively means all other heroines lose out. So the anime is much more uplifting than the VN

Taking Nagisa's route means that Kotomi never makes friends with the gang, and probably becomes an isolated academic thanks to the "bad person".

Having said that, things were even more dire for Kanon's heroines... :P

This was probably said a billion times but, is it 100% certain that there will not be a 3rd season of Clannad Anime?

I know that it had a really strong and meaningful ending, so I just want to make sure.

Unfortunaly, they are no others seasons that was released after After Story.
But you can play the visual novel, watch the movies and the OVA, if you want !

Since Tomoya could make a wish, do you think that Ushio's and Nagisa'a sickness is forever gone after? Or was it just weakened at that time? Thanks. "

As far as I can tell it is gone. I don't think the game or anime mention her getting sick in winter after that.

I think its forever gone since we saw how well Nagisa is when Ushio was growing. It's obvious she managed well throughout those five winters.
