They are MS from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Guncannon is a prototype developed along RX-78 Gundam. While GM is a mass production version of Gundam itself.

Gundam 00 has 2 seasons each with 25 episodes, the second one just ended. However, there will a movie released in 2010 that should tie things up.

Thanks for the info, I did get the Hyaku Shiki reference (gold tends to do that), but felt it was out of place. I should have gotten the GM reference because I saw that one picture in the ridiculous image thread (GM. our days of mass produced terror are over (or something like that)), but it completely slipped my mind.

Would you agree that there's also a reference to the Dendrobium Orchis/Stamen?

or its just fan speculation?

No, it was never confirmed. However, there is some evidence that would suggest that this might be true, but we have no official info.

Was Joshua (the guy that broke formation) voiced by someone special (I'm thinking something along the lines of how Fukuda had TM Revolution do one episode and then die), or was he just an over-glorified red-shirt?

I'm not all that learned about Japanese VAs, so I don't know if he's special or not, but Joshua Edwards was voiced by Jun Konno.
