Aspect Ratio

Not sure if this should go in tech support or playback help, but I wonder if anybody knows of a way that I can make a 4:3 ratio file stretch on the sides so it fills my 16:9 monitor... I do realize that it will be distorted, but I want to test it out to see how it looks to see if its tolerable.

I've tried playing with some FFDShow settings, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it, if it is possible.

Any ideas?

I guess you set the screen resolution to it's native resolution or aspect ratio (If you set to 4:3 it should play at 4:3 by default).
For MPC, right click=> Video Frame=> Stretch To Window. Other players also have this feature, I think.

Also try FFDShow Video Decoder=> Resize & aspect (never used it myself).

But still better to keep the video original aspect ratio ofc with original screen resolution/Aspect ratio, IMO.
