Okay, the fanboys will have their moment - the next DVD's specials, according to the website, will be everyone's favorite poor loli ninja twins.

I don't have the constitution to watch through anymore of the show. Either the shota turns into a man or there's no point. Doesn't he offer no explaination on why he denies everything?

I don't know if some fans translated the novel, sorry.

The "Kanokon" novels were licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, but they later dropped most of the novel series (including Zero no Tsukaima).

Not official, but here's to hoping.

I actually enjoyed the first season, so this would definitely be good news for me if it actually happens.

According to Anime News Network, Media Blasters will be bringing out the first DVD volume this April.

More ecchi to go with Queen's Blade, eh?

I rarely ever turn my nose up for a series with fanservice. If I run out of choices of shows to buy, I might get this one. Will this series end up (with a self imposed) banned here if they attempt to air this series uncensored (similar to a nameless manga?)

The fact Kanokon got licensed is another reason that the american anime industry isn't just dying because of torrenting, these dumbass companies can't grab shows that are even MEDIOCRE to bring here. Instead we get this....

I'd be willing to bet that this will at least meet their sales expectations, not to mention it probably wasn't all that expensive to license. "Ecchi" shows have always sold pretty well in North America.

That aside, the industry isn't dying "because of torrenting". The fact that less people are buying DVDs in general certainly doesn't help (and part of that is because of torrenting), but it's a lot more complicated than that. Them licensing this show, though, certainly isn't part of the problem.

Oh it is a problem, i don't believe it will meet their expectations, it may have been cheap but purchasing something cheap that sucks isn't worth it if you can buy something worthwhile for more.

Especially if more people would buy the more expensive one because of hwo much better it is.

But all this is speculation anyway and are always the "questions" people think when they purchase something so it all depends on so many variables anyway. I understand why they would get it, but they shouldn't have.

Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that, by now, Media Blasters has a pretty good understanding of how to market ecchi anime in North America. Certainly it's not as if they just threw a random dart at a peg board and said "oh, we'll take that one!" Look at the other products they've licensed over the last year, and you're talking about a company that knows how to take small, measured, niche market risks. It's obviously a pattern that works for them, even though it doesn't seem to make sense to you. But anyway, time will tell. It's not as if your saying it sucks means that people aren't going to buy it; it certainly sold rather acceptably in Japan.
