Well, there is the situation that the anti-gravity advantage Gundams had is negated by the fact that they are fighting in 0-g. So even the normally slow Tierens could effectively move about. Exia's ability to move into close range is much harder when the enemies can actually dodge effectively.

The Tieren pilots had always been trying to dodge; it's just that gravity made things difficult on Earth.

Not to mention they are fighting in space so the Tieren Space types are pretty much fighting in a battlefield that they were designed to be fighting in. Given the number of thrusters they have it's no surprising that they should be quite agile.

Plus, aren't the Tieren pilots suppose to be part of the HRL's elite forces?

After this episode my respect for Sergei went up, the men seems to be amazing stagiest and finally showed having superior weapon does not guarantee victory. Those Haros were quite funny, I hope to see more Haros in the future. One thing that was most interesting in this episode was Alejandro Corner in Azadistan.

I hope he does. So Setsuna gets a showdown with Alejendro!

It seems Sumeragi already knew an attack was inevitable, but they were caught offguard from the timing since they got detected because the crew was taking a break.

And the personnel division also seems to be lacking skills... people who freak out of fear during an attack aren't really suited for the bridge of a ship.
They are chosen for their technical skills, and not because they are good soldiers. Christina is supposed to be a super hacker of sorts, but unfortunately, computer nerds are not really trained for combat.

So there was a "second generation" of Gundam Meisters? Okay, that the current ones aren't the first was obvious, but which generation are they? Juding from the age, I think they must be at least 4th generation.
The Gundam 00 sidestories go into this. The current Meisters are 3rd Generation (which is also true of the Gundams). Some of the 2nd Gen Meisters are shown in the Gundam 00P novel.

Watch Virtue be so fat, his hidden ability is that he's actually hiding GN04 inside him :P

I was thinking more of Virtue "releasing" his outer armor, like Duel Assault Shroud -> Duel.

And good thing I didn't pick Kyrios as my favorite Gundam, because I knew it's lack of more weapons was a disadvantage.

And Lockon seems to be not at his best this episode....

Anyone else getting weird vibes that Louise may die(seeing her mother and Saji seems hesitant)?

It actually feels good to see those Gundam Meisters get owned, I despise all of them so far...
Too bad the schizophrenic will go on a rampage next episode, otherwise it'd be awesome if GMs get captured - best humiliation in all Gundam histories.

On a different note, Jerid or Yazan from Zeta will probably single handedly take care of them all if they ever appear in a Super Robot Taisen game.

Someone mentioned Hallelujah killing the Colonel... All I have to say to that is LOL. Hallelujah is not man enough to kill Sergei. A man such as the col who doesn't wear a space suit during missions only dies when and if he wants to.

+10 badass pts to Sergei.

That's cause the Moralian army were woeful unprepared and had men who were insufficiently trained. The Gundams have always controlled the battle up until now with there pre battle strategizing and strict mission structure. Remove that total supremacy and the Gundams will have trouble.

They're lucky those Tierans are fighting in space, they would be horrible on the Earth (which is why it seems like Sergei & Soma prefer to stay in space).

Sumeragi's reply to Allelujah about "what if we just happen to be attacked while doing maintenance" seems rather like breaking the Fourth Wall to me - she basically says "if we're attacked now, the gods must have it in for us". It's a bit like saying "Even the best dice player can throw snake-eyes". Practically saying to the viewers that it's not going to be their lucky day.

Of course, you could argue that she should have had the ship moved a lot further away from any potential enemies to reduce the possibility of encountering them (the HRL guy was surprised how close CB were). However, going into that level of detail would just make the story a drag in TV anime.

Just finished watching the episode.

You gotta admit, Sergei was just waiting for CB to make a mistake and they made that mistake.

As for Christina, I dunno but althought I'm not in the military I don't think it's wise to have a person that cracks easily under battle on a battle bridge. It can be quite disastrous.

IMHO this is a matter which should definately be part of the selection procedure and neglecting it is just sloppy work.
There's maybe one in the world, but there's none for CB. Don't you see how many crews are onboard the ship? This tells they're don't have that much manpower to choose.
Furthermore, the mothership supposes to avoid combat as much as possible (they won't even need to if the crew do their work properly), so it's fine with Christina.

Chalk this up to inexperience on the part of the crew. Its their first real battle, and these phobias probably aren't easily foreseen. Veda seems to value Meisters for their skills over their abilities to act like soldiers, the same might apply to the bridge bunnies, which is why its probably more important that Christina can do what she's supposed to do outside of battle.

Ptolemaios isn't really meant for combat anyway, as it is a transport ship.

Only 3rd generation? I don't think this fits well with the timeline, however if it is written there it should be true.
Wait, the Gundams are also 3rd generation models? Does this mean they have some older ones lying around somewhere?
O Gundam is 1st gen apparently.
Gundams Astraea, Sadalsuud and Plutone are 2nd gen.

Note that there is a 15 year gap between the first of the 2nd gen suits and the 3rd gen ones...

Anyway, read Gundam 00P for details. Chapter 1 has been translated into English.

this was a very interseting episode character development for lockon and felt, action, and I was surprised to findout lockon is a char.

WhiteWings:To this day I don't know what the insanity behind the decision to release the first GSD ending. My God that was without a doubt the worst ending I had ever seen in my life in a anime series.
Blizzer: He already has special powers called super pheromone powers which makes him irresistable to Sekirei's in heat.

What's up with the Gundam Meisters and duality? First it's Tieria with male and female appearance, and then Allelujah has split personality, and now Lockon has an identical twin? What's next? Setsuna has a clone?

hm...just watched the ep, I'm not so sure why you guys are so certain that Lockon has a twin.

The shot of the other guy looked a bit younger to me. He might just be a younger brother or something, not necessarily a twin.
