That's exactly why I'm worried that Bones will go off and do something completely with her. Since we know nothing about her, even what she looks like, they don't have to worry about contradicting anything.

I don't know about Ookubo's involvement though. Didn't Arakawa say she didn't have any input on the FMA anime?

(Yeah, even though Wiki says so, I haven't seen a pic. Maybe they mistook young Death Scythe for her >_>)

I think she said 'do whatever you want to do' to them because she didn't want the anime to be just a complete adaption of the manga.

It makes me wonder though did Ookubo plan to introduce Maka's mother from the begining and then decided to hold her off or did he just drop her altogether? If so Ookubo could of used his ideas of her chracter for the anime or he could of just came up with her during the anime's early production, still it's early days and she may not even appear.

I would think that it depends on where Maka lives. If she lives with her mom, then there is a chance for Mom to show up. If she lives in a dorm, then the chance goes down and she's relegated to a picture.

Since it's a rarity to see parents in a shonen title and dad is a major player in this title, you actually might see Maka's mom.

Maka lives with Soul in a apartment block that looks like it was designed by Gaudi.

Watch the trailer it's in the scene where Maka is leap kicking soul through the window.

Continue reading, the manga isn't bad as I thought. However, the characters really need a lot of time to get used to. It's just ridiculous more than I can imagine.

And about that Chrona (am I getting the name right? Or is it Chrono), that's a guy or a girl? The translations are a bit mess up, and I can't guess either.

Watched the first ep, this show is already giving me Lagann vibes. Definitely on my 'must-see' list for this season.

Maka's voice is irritating though. Good thing Soul and the other characters are more interesting so I don't have to pay attention to her.

Maka herself is a fairly cool character, especially being a female lead in a shounen series.

Hopefully the voice acting improves (I'm personally fine with it), so people can enjoy her character too.

Am watching the second episode right now on TV.
I just finished watching the first episode on my PC then switched on the TV and there it was, cool.
