I play multiple FPS's and I have different styles for each...

Call Of Duty: United Offensive - A charger and a ducker. Yet, I feel that I go under something unlisted... More like a berserker whereas I f**king fly into the midst of the battle and end up killing 10 people before I go down.

Rainbow Six: Vegas - A strange style for me but, I'm a ducker that uses a shotgun to snipe (You can lean up against walls to shot around corners). I end up scaring the shit out of my enemies when they come up close by popping around the corner and shooting them in the face with a shot gun and I attract their attention when I try to snipe them off for suppression fire to help my teammates.

BattleField 2142 - This one varies in all different roles. The fact that there are classes has me vary my gameplay depending on gametype.

Conquest: Ducker who waits for people to fall into my traps in which I laid quite a load of RDX demo packs for them.
Titan: Charger with a AT gun and a repair gun in hand.

I play CSS and I'm usually ducker/charger hybrid...but sometimes I play as a sniper too. I think I'm quite good.

I think I neglected this thread...

Anyways, here I go:

For Call Of Duty 4, I tend to snipe, A LOT, it's not that I have a fetish with the sniper, I just find COD4's sniper rifles a Hellish amount of fun to use, although I do subscribe to the Creed "Right weapons for the Right Situations", for example, in Showdown, it's time to go straight-up assault, in vacant, CQB all the way.

I mean, for example, to elaborate, Vacant, (any CODder will know what I'm talking about here), and for those who don't, it's one of COD 4's more infamous online maps, known to be home to grenade spammers. But be that as it may, any smart CODder will know that in vacant, the key to success is a shottie, C4, special and frag grenades, or any CQB weapon.

Halo 1, Halo 2 and Halo 3-wise, I wasn't much of a sniper, I was...mid-range assault specialist, for lack of a better term. I tended to use the pistol in Halo 1 a LOT, mainly because to me, it was the most balanced in-game weapon, but I always did try to whore the shottie for backup. (mind anyone, I played over SL only, no XB connect).

In Halo 2, the BR became my best friend, especially with the v1.1 patch, BXR and D-Shot made the BR a true force to contend with, even against the Sword (speaking of which, it's terribly annoying to get team-killed or yelled at when you get it first, the Sword is a privilege, not a right). I also used the sniper a fair bit, seeing as I used the TS playlist a lot.

As for Halo 3, I still find myself using the BR a lot, but I'm trying to get around my mindset of it being an all-purpose weapon, I tend to keep either maulers or snipers with me to that end.

CQB = Close Quarters battle.

In essence, the SMG, Shottie, and Combat Knife.

Edit: CQB and CQC are interchangeable terms, also, C4 and 'Nades as well. If you know how to use them right in COD, are great Close-Quarter killers.

Battlefield 2: I'm not going to lie, I go out there to kill people. I try to cap points when I can and I do squad play, but most of the time I'm just trying to kill. I want to kill as much people as I possibly can. It must be my sick, sadistic pleasure in forcing people to wait for their respawn and then run the long distance back into battle. These are my stats:

In almost any FPS I've ever played, I think my main 'role' was the walking-target-slash-lucky-bastard. I get a lot of kills, though for some reason I get killed at about the same amount of times. I tend to play around a lot too, and I generally use whatever weapon I have.

You remind me of a friend of mine, he tends to go out into the open a lot, even in maps where going out into the open is generally considered bloody idiocy and a plain death wish, and still get at least 2 kills before dying, I have NO idea how he pulls off this feat.

^in my case, i think it's because i don't 'feel' the intensity of the other players. even when everybody is screaming at each other in communication, i'm relaxed, carefully targetting opponents with an uber-relaxed brain. edit: hell, i can take down faraway opponents with a sniper rifle without zooming in, long ago.

Guess I like sniping the most, not keen on most the sniper rifles though so usually just like to get a good spot and watch the backs of the others.

Chucking grenades and getting a bunch of them at once is a lot of fun also. All this is after the people I play with get over the "omg your a girl" thing

In COD4, I never stay back and camp on any game type whether it be S&D (Maybe I will, but not most of the time. Depends on the situation.) or Headquarters. I just don't see the point in sitting there or guarding one area when I can just go outside and kill/be killed constantly.

If someone charges me, i'll charge them back. If someone hides behind a barrel, i'll charge them. Hell, I never put on UAV jammer just so they know I am coming to roflstomp them with my G3 or Silenced AK-47. xD

That is exactly what I do. (Other than the omg you're a girl part.) Shooting people from afar and running away is my talent.

Medic! (TF2, love that class)

Failing that, I like defense and setting traps. So I'm fairly cautious when attacking, so probably a 'ducker'.

Always been a sniper and always will. I used to play that style since the 90s and don't ask how I used to snipe in Doom or Quake XD I just don't get close.

Sniper. I find a good location, sit and wait for anyone to come, then headshot 'em. Afterwords I find a different place and repeat. Problem is, sitting still makes one an easy target, and sniper rifles tend to suck during firefights, which is why I usually carry smoke grenades or traps to run away quickly. Being strategic is funner than running and gunning in my opinion, tactical shooters ftw.

Currently i play Battlefiel 2142, CoD:4, DoD:S, CS:S all online, tho not all at the same time ^^

I tend to like to call myself a sniper and enjoy it, but i suck at sniping, so if and when i wanna win
i get myself a close combat weapon and go berserk :P

I think that what type of player you are depends on your skill level and style of play. Some people dont mind close range while others thrive on it. If I had to label myself with the titles provided I would be a Charger/Bunny.

I am cautious but not so much that it hinders me. I know the maps well and i dont mind going into the open and taking a shot at someone. I find that newer players tend to be more cautious because it allows them to stay longer than they would running around with no clue of maps or strategy. I also feel the same about weapons. 9/10 you are gonna see a noob running around with an m4 and a shotgun and no clue where to go or what to do especially when he's alone.

I primarily play CS:S & DoD:S.
