I can't disclose the link here. I can only give you a hint: it's found in an English Anime forum, not Animesuki.........

Good luck

Now waiting for vol. 3 to be uploaded there....

I don't think there would be much thoughts about the dub at 2ch........do they really care that much about an anime almost 2 years ago being dubbed?

BTW: Being an old-timer, I only got onto Facebook last night, and only discovered their "Top Gun" game twenty minutes ago...

I'm surprised that Panties are a winnable item in this game. O_O

None of you guys on this thread (Strike Witches) would know something about WHY this is, would you?

It's a facebook game, so don't expect much out of it. You'll find the Panties under HOME-->Collections-->Bonuses (To all of you on Facebook)

Also, if you're on Facebook, give me a hand with the game a bit...

I once had a Strike Witches shooting game (those which you drive a fighter plane and shoot oncoming enemy.......you know those kind of old games you see in arcades...), except the fighter is the SW characters......however I wasn't very interested in this kind of game so I deleted it.....

- OT:I doubt it. A fad has no lasting long-term support, and no need.

Social Network doesn't have the support, but the F'ing need is there--My bloody PARENTS were the ones who bugged me to get onto Facebook, for crying out loud. Catching up on a Facebook page is tons cheaper than overseas calls, and faster than bugging someone to do an email update on their life 24/7

MAYBE Facebook will be supplanted by a newer social networking site, but eventually they'll have to make one that becomes standard worldwide.

My complaint is idiots who get onto facebook just to play games and spam other facebook pages, as opposed to keeping in contact with other people. They're the ones that bloat the whole thing. Remove the games, and the only ones left on Facebook are the ones actually using it as it's meant to be: a communication medium.

Maybe Buzz will be it, maybe not. For all I know, iPhones and iPads will replace Netbooks everywhere (Netbooks--now THOSE are a fad!)

On-Topic: I noticed that the Sakamoto and Clostermann plushies are on amiami. Are they going to do all of the TV chara, and possibly (hopefully) some of the novel chara as well?

(Really wants Minna, Tomoko, and Marseille Plushies)

Saw some of the Strike Witches dub at Katsucon this past weekend. Being a first time Strike Witches viewer, there's two things that I can't believe:

1. How much Gonzo was able to get with when it comes to a show that aired on Japanese TV (yes, it's most likely I'm seeing the DVD version, but still it felt very risky).

2. That Katsucon allowed this show to be shown in the afternoon without requiring people to be "carded" before they entered the room.

I don't have answers to your questions, but Strike Witches wasn't about to save Gonzo from its present state........its DVDs sold well........

If that Katsucon you are talking about showed the full episode without requiring any entry conditions, then AIC or Gonzo could consider asking for compensation.......

After looking at my original post, I noticed that I reworded the first statement a little bit wrong, hence some confusion here. What I meant to say was "How was Gonzo able to get away with some of the stuff that appeared in Strike Witches, given how this is one title that aired on Japanese TV?"

Well, given how the convention did show the first four episodes of the series (with some obvious "not for children" moments in episode 4) with requiring any entry conditions, then yeah, AIC or Gonzo probably should be asking for some money because of this. :P

Ok I hope I understood you correctly. Strike Witches was aired in Japan some time ago, and all those "not-suitable-for-children" moments are probably censored, as I haven't seen any DVD. Most probably the more adult contents appeared in DVDs only, not in the aired version.

Yeah according to tvtropes...

'The CDs also included duets and covers of songs from the girls' home countries from around that era'

Do you know what are the name of these songs and where I can find them? I would love some period songs translated into Japanese.

Furthermore according to tvtropes 'xcept for the Karlslander trio, which has the lyrics rewritten, since a Nazi song wouldn't have flown in this day and age'

So is there a toned down, Japanese cover of 'Horst Wessel Lied'?
