The manga seems nice. Though Horo doesn't look like in the anime/novel.
I think Horo from the anime looks like Horo from the novel!

That's because the manga is adapted from the light novel series source rather than the anime adaptation. Note that there's no Chloe in the manga (Chloe being an anime-only change of a male character from the light novels).

The manga adaptation of Toradora! is also adapted from the light novel source rather than the anime adaptation.

I kind of like that twist... gave a bit of extra relationship tension there with Lawrence between Holo (the obvious ALPHA FEMALE... well, she's my alpha female anyway) and Chloe... a girl who fancies herself an alpha female (but (and I saw it coming a mile away) is more of a first-class you-know-what)!

There's an interview somewhere - the author of Spice&Wolf's light novels says he wishes he could go back and add "Chloe" to his first book because she added such a nice dynamic to the story.

I Pre-ordered Manga Vol.5.
The release date which even the author did not know is October 27.
The Nora arc has not finished yet.
An English-language edition is likely to catch up immediately.

Wow... they are really getting it done.

I wonder if/when the Dengeki Anthology is gonna get the English treatment?

The manga is licensed (meaning being released in English officially), so whether there are or aren't, you're not allowed to request them here (either in public or via PM/VM). Sorry...

If that is the artist's interpretation of the scene I think it is... OH MAN!!!

Of course, I don't know how much Volume IV of the manga covered, so...

Well I appreciate the pictures, but I was actually referring to the amount of material covered in Volume IV of the manga. I just thought it odd that they could blow through the Nora story arc in one manga but took three for the first story arc (if that is indeed the case).

Of course having not read Volume IV...

However, since you did post those links, I was wondering if you could provide links to the images for the regular and limited edition covers of the manga (mainly for Volume II, but for completeness sake how about I and III also).

All additional covers are based on that artbook. Yen Press haven't got license to publish with it.

I could find only for vol. III

Book jackets are rare for the extra of a comic.
It is only that there was a book jacket of the volume I and volume III by ANIMATE.
Moreover, there was a book jacket of the volume III only once as an appendix of a magazine.
Mostly, extras are an illustration card, a postcard, a bookmark, etc.
And those designs differ for every shop.
I have to buy many volumes, in order to collect all.
It is the business by ASCII MEDIA WORKS.

The extra of each shop about the volume IV

The extra about the volume V (only WonderGOO)

Thanks guys!

I would like to see these covers released in the West... though I know it is unlikely! Oh well... they are quite nice!

ASCII MEDIA WORKS is evil!!!! They feed my addiction!

I do have the art appendix that you linked, woxx. It is quite nice.

Inner cover for vol. 5
Spoiler for cover:

Nora's arc is almost finished, I think two or three more chapters left.

I don't really like how they drew Holo's fang in that picture. Makes her whole face seem off for some reason. Anyway, I'm glad to see that the Spice and Wolf equation still works.

1 LN = 3 manga volumes
2 LN = 1 anime season + 1 OVA episode
