....Yeah, looks like I really should just quit....but I can't! I must move on! after all, there are only 3 types of people in this world. Those who can count, and those who can't!

I don't know why, but seeing horo reminds me tha I want a pet wolf instead of a dog ^_^ (which I don't have either ^_^)

@seag.. the same as with "there are 10 types of people, those who know binary and those who don't" ^_^

I've got a german shepard, it's about as close to wolf as you're going to get. And if I ever get another, it'll have to be Horo. Or RedXIII. Depends on the gender, I suppose. All right, back on topic then, everyone?

B-M, I mena a real wolf ^_^ If you get a wolf pup before it gets 5 or 15 days old (don't remember precicely) and raise it, it'll be as loyal and obedient as a dog ^_^
the only problem is where to get one ^_^
my B-day is coming up, so maybe you wanna all wanna think about it and give me one as a present ? ^_^

@KiNA, I would have to agree ^_^ if she had a tail we could see it would be even better ^_^
Although the eyes are a little to bright in my oppinion.. ^_^

I'd just ask you read up on wolf behavior before doing so - as they don't really act like domestic dogs. I've an Alaskan acquaintence who raises huskies and has had a fair amount of experience with wolves and wolf hybrids. Unless you live in a rural area and you are going to be with your dog on a near 24hr/day basis, he recommends strongly against the idea. (Wolves even more than domestic dogs are wired for pack rules -- separation from "the pack" (i.e. you) is psychic hell for them).

@Kina, that's a pretty good 'shop you found (nice choice of model). The ears are slightly off but overall, makes one wish for a live-action S&W. The tail is there... its just too obscured by the wheat (behind her right shoulder).

Vexx, I understand what you mean, it's just that a wolf is still a peculiar pet to have. it's not like a cat or hamster, when you just feed it, and clean after it.
I understand that it would not be easy to raise one.
But still, what I meant was that he would be attached to you and not be so ferocious (at least to the you and your family probably).
Well it's still just wishful thinking..

I also noticed the silhouette of the tail in the wheat, so what I meant is that it would be clearly visible..

Actually, that's another aspect --- from what I recall, they'll bond pretty strongly to existing family members (people with regular contact). But *NEW* family members or *NEW* regular contacts (new girlfriend/boyfriend, new baby, new step-child, relative or friend that moves nearby) may experience the wolf challenging them for 'position in the pack'. It starts off as the Zeta Dog.... but it may be aggressive to new members of the human pack to determine whether it stays Zeta Dog.

They can also be quite aggressive towards anyone they don't consider pack members (like a child's visiting friend).

Basically, you have to, as my friend says, "really grok the doggy mind and how it is wired to interact socially". If you can do that, you'll be able to anticipate most issues that might arise.

Frankly, this also holds true to some extent for domestic dogs but far too many dog owners are total idiots in that respect in the way they misinterpret their dog's behavior and what it might do.

Aye, back on topic - Anzu's finds are glorious. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I gotta admit.. esp the last one where Horo is in a seifuku
she does look good in it, just as she says there ^_^

I'm an awesome dog owner, mostly because it helps when you realize
A: Dogs don't speak english.
B: That does not mean they're stupid.
Anyway, ours is trained well enough to respond to hand and verbal signals for sit, stay, come here, and have certain phrases like "play nice" to designate friends. He's CRAZY obedient. But yeah, most people tend to yell and smack their dog, and the poor animals have no idea what they did wrong.

Anyway, that personal favorite image has a double tail, and now I can't help but think of Horo as Tails from the Sonic games. Then again, Tails was always my favorite character, so I guess that makes sense.

(Hehe... grok the doggy mind.)
