I like her trance albums, but that is about it. Her other stuff is kinda boring to me. And as far as she goes as a person...well, I don't like her very much. My fiance had put a wallpaper of her up and said she "was cute," and I am the jealous type. What can I say...

From what I know, the Korean craze hit China/Taiwan/Hong Kong+S.E. Asia harder than it did Japan. Japan's own entertainment industry is large and diverse enough to at least partially block a blow-up fad like that, whereas the Chinese have had a smaller entertainment industry (or in Hong Kong's case, a less diverse one). Of course, I'm not very familiar with the entertainment industries of said 3 countries so... (the entertainment industries of Asia used to rank Japan > Hong Kong > Korea > ... until recently, and now it's Japan > Korea > Hong Kong > ...)

Aside from that, I'm not a big Ayumi fan. She's pretty good looking (though not drop dead gorgeous), her voice is weak, but her tune's can be catchy. I liked Fly High quite a bit, but none of her other songs have really held my attention for too long. Something to listen to if you're bored, I guess...

The songs i heard were a little bit too sad for me (except for fly high). If you know some other good songs of her, post em, i think she can make good songs, i just didn't hear them yet.

meh... I like her ^^ she's very good looking (imo) and I love her remixed songs (ayu trance as mentioned before plus the super eurobeat remixes of her songs) but hey, I play DDR, and love that music too. go eurobeat! My favorite song by her is probably "M"

i keep seeing people mention ayumi and how great the music is but i've yet to hear anythign other than one track with no vocals and it sounded to me like a weak american techno which chills my bones and i haven't found any anywhere else as of yet. so at the moment i wouldn't say many great things about it.

Well... she has redeemed herself somewhat with Moments. Sounds like she is trying to go back to her 'old school' sound with Moments and No Way to Say. Also sounds like she's been taking some vocal lessons, cuz her voice doesn't make me cringe during the entire song. Then again, I have been listening to allot of Morning Musume and the other Hello!Projects lately....

If she continues this trend of not making me cringe during the entire song, then I can say that I only hate her, not abhore her.

baka, it sounds like you got a track from one of the thousand remix albums she has. Try and look for an original release and see if you like her. Be sure to check out her earlier and later releases, because they are different in terms of sound and style.

I think her songs are ok. I don't like her as much as Utada Hikaru or BOA. But she is alright. I think she's pretty cute too but Amuro Namie is better looking like someone before me said.

I personally love her and i want to know what other people think about this pop princess(25) and her new album's and singles. Memorial Adress her latest album which is my personal favorite and then there is Inspire and Moments which are her new singles.(havent heard inspire because its not over here yet in the united states)
You have probally heard her before in one of InuYasha op/ed Dearest.
Or in the first Angelic Layer Ending.

Her music is good. But have you seen her performances/music vids, she looks like the asian half-sister of barbie, the plastic skin included. But yeah, her music is good.

Ayu-fans unite!

I like Ayu, though some people here who don't like her...who cares! I like her and that's what matters...

I love her music, and though her newer singles aren't as hot, I can't stop listening to her old ones. Remixed or not I still prefer her music to Hikaru Utada (? ack sorry if i misspelled her name).

The first music I heard from Ayumi was the intro to Thousand Arm's PS1 game. It was titled "Depend on You" (i think this is the one...

).

But I prefer is Dearest, and the song from her album Love appears

I feel weird that I really enjoy Ayumi Hamasaki's music, because Im a huge metalhead, I lurves my loud heavymetal and my playlist is messed, its like: Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Testament and then all of a sudden Ayumi Hamasaki

it sounds quite funny, my favorite song by her is Evolution, I absolutely love the guitar solo in that song and of course her very fast singing.
