So where are the Ikkitousen fans... the fans that have been watching the show for the story?

No really... there is going to be a third season. More info in the following which has been stolen from none other than NeoSam from the New Announced Anime thread.

The show is scheduled to air sometime during the summer (June?) of this year, 2008. And yes, the content of the show is going to be totally original. Does this mean the probablity of pantsu exposure will be more than ever? Sure, why not... as long as the story isn't lost on its fan just like the prior couple of seasons.

P.S. Will update when a picture is found on these pantsu-warriors.

I watch this show just for the story and the story alone!
has nothing to do with the pantsu shots or the OTT chests exploding out of there garments

will be looking forward to what with they come up with.................and again nothing to do with wanting to see Kanu or Mou-chwan exposing an excessive amount of flesh

I'm not at opposed to an all original story. It is Ikki Tousen after all. I actually thought the story of the first season was at least decent, it surely wasn't great, but combined with Ikki Tousen's "other qualities" it made for some acceptable entertainment.

Dragon Destiny just didn't have the same effect on me, all of that dragon stuff wasn't as interesting as hand to hand combat to me. So, I'm basically saying: I hope this'll be more like the first season, and less like the second.

Even if it isn't, I'll still be watching for the aforementioned other qualities, though. xD

It's been announced that this third series shall have a anime original story (makes sense seeing as though there's not really any material left from the manga). At first i was quite worried about this, though Dragon Destiny was handled nicely, the way a Ikkitousen anime adaptation should be, so i look quite forward to this one.

Actually, it goes to show how much fun they must have had with Dragon Destiny because it's the same time. Let's hope they don't fail in the anime original department.

Can't wait to hear more of Takanashi Yasuharu's score. He released a great score for DD, so the same should be done here, i'm sure.

A new season? That's great news. But is going to follow up on the story after Dragon Destiny or just be a whole new thing? I also am in need of more Kanu, they haven't shown her enough and she's my favorite character. I'm still stuck on the new season thought. 0.o XL

Fear not, in the meantime see to buying the Kan-san pillow case, also ya know Battle Vixens volume 13 will come out at about the same time in June as Great Guardians ^_^

I also expect Chousen to show up. Her character design is just begging to be used in an actual anime and this original story for the 3rd season seems to be just the right place.

awesome one of the first anime i've ever seen(sadly) nevertheless i'm still excited for it cause i actually found the first one to be freaking hilarious and they both had some descent girls fighting in school uniforms my favorite!
