I play golf, if that counts as a sport. Around here most of the courses are quite hilly so carrying your clubs around 18 holes can be a good workout. The course designers also just happen to place the biggest hills at the ends of the courses.

One such dastardly fellow is the famous Scottish golf architect, Donald Ross. Ross lived in Greater Boston for a number of years and designed one of my favorite local courses, a Depression-era engineering marvel named after George Wright, the founder of Spalding sporting goods and a patron of 1913 US Open winner Francis Ouimet. Even better is that the George Wright GC is one of two municipal courses owned by the City of Boston, so fees are fairly reasonable (for golf, anyway). The other Boston course, Franklin Park, is no slouch either. Bobby Jones practiced there while he attended Harvard.

I'm a tennis player, a pretty serious one at that. I play anywhere from 14-22 hours a week. In the summer I play like 28 hours a week. I've been getting back from my tendinitis and I'm going to climb up the So-Cal rankings pretty fast this summer if all goes well.

Considering that I spend about 15+ hours on anime related activities per week, have a job, and that I am in several college high school courses, it is quite sickening that I manage my schedule at all...

Basketball was my favorite pastime until my friends started to play less and less. Then I sprain the same ankle twice - the last time pretty severely - and lacked so much lift as I had before the injury happened. Now I seldom play. Only if my friends invite me I suppose for a friendly scrimmage.

I already knew no one is reading through the thread when no one flamed me for claiming that chess is a sport.

And by the way I finished editing that other thread.

Is Chess a sport? I know it's held anually for contests and stuff, but I don't really consider it a sport. I must be stereotyping.

Meh, my only valid argument is that the Olympics recognize chess a sport, so it must be one!!! That's like saying Bush considers the Iraqi invasion to be just, which means the rest of the world will have to agree with him, so there goes that argument.

I don't really care though. Chess is less of a sport than speedwalking.

Growing up I played 5 years of soccer, 2 baseball, 1 basketball. I've golfed every once in a great while throughout my life; I was even fairly good at it for about a week a few years ago . I've only recently come out of a 4 year anime/vegetive state after starting to work out a bit. It really hit me how out of shape I was after I tried paddling a surf board for more than 10 minutes. I felt like I was dying.

Karate, Taikwondo, Lau Gar and Tai Chi. Haven't done anything for a little over a year now and boy have I gotten stiff. I like to play badminton too and I normally power walk to work and back which is ~ 6 miles a day.

Although it doesn't matter what I do as right after training I'm straight into the pub to get smashed.

When I saw the title of the thread I immediately thought is wielding the mod bat counted as sport?
