Looking for some feel good anime...

The title says it all. It can be about anything, romance or action, it just has to have a feel good feel to it. Anime like:

Full Metal Panic
GTO
Midori no Hibi
Kaleido Star
Getbackers
One Piece...etc.

Basically something that really lifted your spirits countered any bad mood. Thanks!

Aria (The Animation, The Natural, and The Origination) certainly fit the bill for a feel good anime. The whole series is just a huge slice of life/feel good anime that is wonderfully done. There actually isn't a big story behind it, more just a premise, but that actually really makes the anime shine. It's simple, but it's been done beautifully.

Since Cynor above suggested Aria, I'll follow up with Kamichu!.

"Miyazaki on TV" is what they call it, and that's quite astute. It has this laid-back charm that really takes you in and leaves you in awe of the happy, carefree lives these youngsters lead. The premise doesn't sound very slice-of-life ("a young girl wakes up one day and find out that she's become a [Shinto] god"), but the very first second into it and you realize it's going to be something special.

Ultimate feel good show IMO.

I'll second Kamichu! as it's also another wonderful show. As for calling it the ultimate, I don't know. It's up there for sure, but Aria can certainly give it a good run (and I'm sure several others can give Aria a good run). Either way though, get Aria, get Kamichu.

in keeping with the slice of life recommendations, how about sketchbook full colors or Hidamari Sketch, or both? Both are quite funny, although in a more gentle, laid-back way. For the former, I think I appreciated the little things in life more after finishing it.

Hajime no Ippo.... one of the best I have ever seen. It's about boxing, but don't let that be a reason not to watch it.

Rental Magic was pretty uplifting. Most of the characters were lovable...and you have to love the way the guy defends his harem

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya --> It is an awasome anime and definitly enjoyable till the end. Dont let the first episode confuse you.. you will understand it afterwards xD

For a really nice slice of life / school anime you might wanna check on Clannad.

I'm rather surprised no one's mentioned Nodame Cantabile, and I'd gladly second Hidamari Sketch.

Second x 100. Its so inspirational too.

I don't really get that "warm fuzzy feeling" after watching an anime like these, but I'll suggest some that I thought were feel good.

Moyashimon is a good one that is slice of life. The characters are great, with a unique concept. About a student going to college who has been able to see "microbes" all his life. Its about his everyday college life, at a agricultural college. He experiences new things, crazy twists, and meets new people.

Yakitate Japan will take you out of any depression, and make you want to bake bread in a rice cooker.

Also it might just be me, but School Rumble has a feel good feel to it. Although I can't distinguish really good comedy between a feel good feel.
