"Chi's New Address" is out, eps 1 and 2. So far the tone and style are consistent with S1, but the theme and the new title are somewhat ominous if you like Youhei, Mama-san and the irrepressible Papa-san.

Spoiler for Ep 2:

The OP this time is not as catching as the first season though.

I like pretty much everything about this tiny series (Blackie was my favorite) but Papa-chan is by far my favorite among the humans.

If you have ever owned a cat (and I do mean shared a household with cats, not loving them from afar) it's 2:54 of "A-ha!" moments, one after the other - spectacular. If not, I think it's still enjoyable and kawaii and occasionally quite touching, but you definitely wouldn't get the full effect.

It's good if you like slice of life shows, cuteness, or Cats. The humor is simple and innocent and there are tons of 'moments' that will strike a familiar chord with those who have owned a pet.

There's no huge plot. You're basicly watching the family fuss and fawn over Chi, while Chi herself operates with the kind of oblivious selfishness you'd expect from any real cat. Lots of fun. =)

And it's a really good time killer or if you need a quick anime shot. Every Episode is only 3 Minutes and Each arc is about 4 episodes, so you will be pleasantly entertained. And every week they'll usually do something that turns out to be really funny or memorable.

Time for a new thread, or should we just continue on here? I'd go with the latter given that traffic in this thread is fairly light. Perhaps it should be renamed to encompass both seasons like the Natsume Yuujinchou thread?

I know that things will work out, and everyone will be happy again, but by the end of episode three it was impossible not to tear up. Poor Youhei!

Crunchyroll appears to be doing S2 without S1 or S1 will be uploaded simultaneously. The preview uploaded is for S2.

I'm a cat owner so anime as cute as this and cat-themed is always a winner for me

06 was another right on the money episode - cats hate moving. Once they get their routine set, change is not at all welcome and for a territorial animal, seeing their territory taken apart is pretty traumatic.

05 is the funniest episode so far. I just though it was funny how Chi liked Cardboard and how that developed.

I just started watching Chi's Sweet Home and I love it! I've watched 45 episodes so far. I wonder, does anyone know if there is a clean opening video without the credits and subtitles? I'd like to try to make an avatar from it, but the text everywhere kinda makes that hard to do.

Edit (instead of double posting): Well, I've finished season 1 started 2. I'm now caught up with the currently available fansubs. I agree with Peanutbutter003, the new OP isn't nearly as catchy as the old one. Maybe it will grow on me.

A hearty thanks to Kubu for taking in us viewers who were orphaned, Chi-like, and left without subs for this.

Who or what is Kubu? Subs for Chi's New Address by Kitty seem to have stopped .
