Still say volume 0 looks prototype manga work. Like worlds strongest disciple and world's strongest disciple kenichi. I just cant see the calm, collected, actually enjoys acting like a priest, long haired not perverted guy as Adam Blade.

Perhaps thats the reason why the author designed Blade the way he is in the main story because it would be more popular with the main stream? Similar to the protagonist in Samurai Deeper Kyo.

getting away from the endless whether volume 0 is part of continuity or not argument (the first guy who mails a letter to the writer and asks him gets a thumbs up), i have two questions about chapter 70.

Thats just Disk making a joke about changing the title of the current arc from "Bloody Rain" to some other joke name because theres so many moustache guys around, including the villain.

I must confess, Cruz is the most kawaii trap this side of Mako-chan. As for pairings, I get the sense that Mio is the most likely candidate - they seem to have a chemistry, and Setsuna and Kuchinashi seem more hard-core yuri (both those points are evident even in the anime ED).

actually i just realised the only thing that needs to happen is for the glasses and strawhat girl to meet the magnet and sword girl (cant read japanese dont know there names) if they talk about it then we know at least that story (1 out of 4) was incorporated into mainstream, if they dont know each other it wasnt.

Blade and Eve are a solid pairing, though the other 2 loli's with the blade and magnets has interest in him.
Mio and Cruz is quite an interesting pair the guy is the brains and the girl is the brawn.
Momiji/Uchida though hasn't gotten a girl yet...poor virgin.

Her vital parts wasn't hit only the legs, arms and shoulder area and possible like the 2 mustache guys she'll get up ok or injured next chapter.

Seems that Cruz and co. are cornered by the end of the chapter. Theres basically no one left who can stand up to the villain with the rain ability. This screams for Aruka to appear in next chapter since her ability could instantly vaporise water.

i dont think she would die before seeing the other two girls or blade again. Also most of the protagonists have come close to dying since the Simeon tower fights started five or six times. Cruz had been manhunted by Simeon since there are flyers wanted posters for him in chapter 64. Disk even claimed its better if Cruz continues to cross-dress to hide his identity. Thus its not a possibility for him at the moment to change back. Poor Cruz, sucks to be in his shoes.

Well, that's the point. They were Protagonists. The scoring is entirely different

That might have worked as an excuse up until around Chapter 65...

Anyway, if Mio's faking it, that must have been the greatest short term improvement in acting skills than I have ever seen...

To be fair, I don't think she's (or even Setsuna or Kuchinashi) are particularly sinister and cruel. It is just that Simeon's indoctrination program works really well - their mental states are close to what armies probably quietly dream of getting (though a bit more brain and a bit less playful an attitude to accomplishing missions would be nice). They are not afraid of fighting. They don't particularly want to kill or conduct any other immoral act, but their psychological resistance to all of those is suppressed to minima so there's not much resistance (or chance of psychological trauma) to being ordered to do it either. They don't even hold much beef to losing!

Frankly, given that you WILL be sending people to fight to their deaths, that's probably the kindest thing to do for them. Don't turn them into monsters, but make every effort so they aren't traumatized by what they are doing.

In any case, in comparison to our civilized society, the Black Spot is much more Law of the Wild West, so not only their, but most people's attitudes to death and killing are probably much less adverse than ours.
