What's the deal? Why are you mocking Kallen?

I think it's pretty clear that the reason she fights so desperately is to fulfill her dead brother's dream. That's her strength. Her reason for fighting.

Those are the ones I got on the top of my head anyway.
And the biggest one, Lelouch just happened to use the exact words that made his geass uncontrollable, that turned Euphie into the massacre princess.

What have you been watching Var? Code Geass is all about suspending your disbelief.

... I give up. This is pointless. Comparing an event that was shortened for time sake (smoke grenades of that effect do not disperse in 20 seconds, its called shortening the scene for dramatic effect) to two plot important character suddenly appearing out of nowhere is downright stupid.

I'm done, sorry Orga.

I don't mock Kallen, but this show has some inconsistencies. Not only plot inconsistencies. Kallen is obviously stronger than a woman who looks like her. That's not realistic at all.

you people are fascinating

his point is not about coincidence driving the plot, its about the fact that marianne and cc jsut appeared out of the blue

this hs nothing to do with suspending disbelief and everything to do with the fact that they just made it happen no prior development whatsoever.

Wait... So are you saying Anya having Marianne's mind in her and C.C. knowing because she constantly talks to her through BOTH seasons WASN'T foreshadowed?

Quote:
Jeremiah's defection was discussed in the Picture Dramas and in the show where we learn that he is broken over failing Marianne. (Though I'll give you that that one was a bit out there, but still in terms of character importance pales in comparison.)
Hardly. C.C. running into Anya who is really Marianne is MUCH more important to the plot. It explains a whole hell of a lot.

Quote:
Mao we saw episodes before he actually appeared, with C.C. talking about him.
Yeah? And he came out of nowhere still.

Rolo was flying there, that makes sense, them bumping into one another you could argue for but not him actually being there.
Not just bumping into him. Rolo goes there, Shirley breaks away from the cops who do NOT go after her? Eh? How does that work now?

I lol'd... C.C. has been talking to Marianne through both seasons, Anya has memories she doesn't even understand in places that she has never been (specifically where MARIANNE LIVED), both have known each other, and can explain why V.V. hates her. Seriously, not foreshadowed? What the hell Var? This has been foreshadowed since the BEGINNING.

Oh so Mao returning after taking in all those bullets in the previous episode was logical?

I didn't know people could live forever or have super-eyes. -_-
That is what the show is about - geass Obviously there will be people with superpowers. That is a given.

Since you clearly misunderstood me, I thought I'd reply, I'll go blow of smoke after. We did not know Marianne was in Anya, there was no actual hint to that end, we just knew something was amiss. We also did not know anything about C.C.'s condition which got cleared up in less then ten seconds. None of these events were properly built on and just 'occured'. Marianne appearing is forgivable. C.C. being exactly where Marianne is, and having conveniently (and willingly) locked up her memories is what is foul.

Because I said that the incident with Jeremiah hardly pales in comparison as it was more or less just an event that did little for the plot. You misunderstood, again.

Uh, no. He did not. Someone saying 'I cannot make that mistake again' and a sudden flash to a character we do not know = fucking foreshadowing.

And again, these events led to one another. Where did C.C. break out of her room to run into Anya? Oh she didn't? Hum...

Well the show is obviously being rushed at this point, so it should be expected that a bunch of unforshadowed events will happen. It seems like basically ideas/scenarios are being thrown in out of the blue to move the plot forward. The meeting between Anya and C.C. is pretty ridiculous I agree, but not suprising. However I don't find the fact that C.C. getting out of the room that big a deal even if it did add to the coincidence of the Anya meeting.

At this point you just have to live with what this show gives you because a lot of it is heading towards borderline ridiculousness.

That is exactly what we were trying to show. Code Geass is filled with coincidences. And now there will be no explanation for Suzaku's super abilities either. And IMO they just as much appeared out of the blue as all the other things listed above. You can look at it however you like.

Actually the hints were there. Anya had memories of things she has never known. Specifically Marianne's villa. That gave us a clue as well as C.C. going "It can't be?!" in the CF when she was fighting Anya and their was a reaction. We just assumed wrong. But it was still hinted at, we just never thought of it as a possibility.

C.C. locked up her memories for a reason we will probably find out later (probably has something to do with what lelouch said to her when she was about to be killed.) And running into Anya is hardly that big a deal. She sneaks out of her room, climbs a few stairs, goes outside, and Anya passes by while doing a patrol and sees her. See? Logical. As for not being properly built, I can say that for a lot of things this season as well. But there is nothing we can do about it. The fact is the show is still amazing whether it caught "Outlaw Star" syndrome or not.

Well there really wasn't much forshadowing on where Marianne was besides the fact she might be dead and a few very subtle forshadowments that weren't a clear given to what was going on, so I guess I was expecting some kind of convient event to be pulled out of knowhere to reveal Marianne. Then I wasn't really shocked about how coincidental it was that they met. With everything being rushed right now I'd expect pretty much anything.

The hints were there towards an unknown end, that is not proper foreshadowing. We had no idea it even had anything to do with Marianne, everyone thought it had to with Charles or Nunally. It is a wtf development for the sake of surprise.

And she did not say 'It can't be'. She said 'So that's how it was...' If you think that can make us have a conclusion of Anya = Marianne then fuck, you're an absolute genius. Tell me how the story will end.

Oh for fuck's sake. She conveniently locks up her memories, where we were led to believe that she lost them and her code for five episodes, and recovers them because she was conveniently at the platform where the Mordred could find her. Oh come on.

For sake of the fact that the point was made:
