He could have ripped it off his arm and throw it into a nearby ocean.

Or Suzaku could have fired the freia into the sky to show lelouch that he was not joking, and keep firing the freia into the sky to scare people away, untill freia is out of ammo.

Kallen was obeying orders, and she's been stir crazy for eight episodes. That she toyed with him as much as she did shows remarkable restraint. Suzaku had his sword in hand and one good leg left, and he didn't know when to quit. Would surrender have worked? Depends on when he did it. He was pretty fucked near the end. If he had realized the difference when his arm got crushed it might of worked. If he had stood down when Lloyd told him to, all the better.
Oh please a sword and a leg. The gurren was picking the Lancelot a part. She could have disabled the Lancelot and let him live. And what restraint? She was going for the death blow and Suzaku had no other choice but to let it happen.

it was in a gun attached to his back and he had the detonator in the cockpit. Wouldn't need to lose anything to toss it and render it useless.

Surrender was never a good option,LL order was to take his life and Kallen doesn't disobey LL order, plus she's been trying to kill him since forever, surrender to Kallen mean death and Freija would still be shot

You just don't recklessly throw WMDs away,it's not even a choice...

What if he only had one shot and they called his bluff and asked him to fire again?

Again, orders. Zero said take it down, she takes it down. As for restraint, she could have grabbed him and vaped him from the start. At the end Suzaku had no other choice, I don't deny that. However, he was told to retreat, and even given the options of trading opponents before that. He didn't.

There's one of them. ONE. Where did you get "ammo" from? Oh, from nowhere. You assumed.

The idea is that throwing it in the ocean or some crap takes away from the deterrent value of it in the first place. This is Suzaku we're talking about. Deterrence sounds like his kind of game, doesn't it? All things considered, he needed to take the damn weapon with him.

Retreating wouldn't work. Trading opponents wouldn't work because Lelouch's target was Suzaku because of his earlier betrayal.

We covered and disproved these possibilities already. You ignored it.

What if he only had one shot and they called his bluff and asked him to fire again? Since they can't do it, they're still gonna attack. That would seem stupid right?

Just have to blame it on positioning. The live order wasn't all that concerned with where the damage would end up, but rather whether Suzaku would stay alive.

Nunnally's survival really is in question. They didn't show that she had taken off yet they didn't show that they hadn't taken off. Series really does like leaving a few doubts about things.

I didnt know if the Freia was a Multiple or One time device considering Ninias Genius level comes close to Lloyd and Rashika

If he could render freia useless and remove the danger it possess by firing it into the sky only once.. then what the hell was he doing?

He wants to end the damn war with it. Suzaku's a deterrence kind of man. That's been how he's operated from the beginning. "Maybe if I stop the frames and convince people that it's hopeless, the resistance will stop!"

You really wouldn't expect Suzaku to turn down an opportunity like that, would you?

The sooner he uses it, the sooner they outfit it to someone willing to shoot. At least this way he could hold off on launching it. He couldn't show them that weakness unless he was already willing to die.

He was using it as leverage to get Lelouch to abandon his invasion.

I'm not sure if he had any idea how it worked. I personally thought that it was like a bomb that would explode on contact with something. I found it wierd that it just flew for a certain distance, and then stopped and exploded. If it kept on going until it exploded, than it probably would be a bad idea to fire it up. After all, what goes up must come down.

Exactly. He even says that it's can only to be used as a threat when he's in deep trouble fighting Kallen and Nina's screaming at him to use it. He even seems to acknowledges that once it's used, it's bad news all around (although he doesn't get to finish his sentence).

The Lancelot doesn't have an ejection seat installed like other KMFs

Well we see Sayoko take out the guards on Nunnally's escape ship just as Kallen is about to kill Suzaku. If all of this is happening simultaneously there is a good chance that they were still in the hanger.

A lot of guys on the forum are in denial and are reaching to find ways for her to survive this. Personally a hope she stays dead since she is holding both lulu and suzaku from developing and it would cheapen the awesomeness of this episode.

Lloyd doesn't like ejection seats. He perfers to spend the money on weapons, shields, and wings. Like Cecile said last season, "You still haven't installed the ejection seat yet?"

True enough, although you think that after how that little oversight almost got Suzaku killed, Lloyd would have installed one in the year or so that has passed since then...
