Comiket is so early this time?
btw why not take it as granted? was there a single comiket in the past few years on which Ryukishi didnt release something ? he even did whole big episode six in the span od 4 months even though all the troubles he had ...

I think one of the Higurashi chapters was delayed a Comiket (Himatsubushi-hen, according to Wikipedia). But see above XD.

Hi... I have a problem when installing Japanese language on my computer.

Now, after the installation, every time I write the link to a file or a folder of my computer, or when I install something, instead of the ' \ ' symbol I get another one (a Y with two orhizontal bars along the vertical one of the letter).
It happens only with that symbol, and just when writing links (not in Firefox, nor in Word, etc...): for example, instead of C:\Programs\Abc, I see C:YProgramsYAbc.

Do you know a solution to this without uninstalling Japanese language?

I don't believe there's any solution, but aside from altering how the backslashes look, it should have no adverse effects on the operation of your system at all. You needn't worry.

Also, it's a yen symbol.

Actually, it's a direct consequence of changing your system locale. It happens to everybody.

Some other programs (the Quicktime installers come to mind) will also run entirely in Japanese, just so you know. I'd suggest switching the locale back if and when you're done playing Umineko, if that's a problem for you.

I think he was asking about the patch for the ep1-4 patch (ok, this sounds weird :P).

@Jesiah: If you download the latest version of the game engine and stick it in your patch folder, you can play the game in any locale (meaning that you can switch everything back to English after you've installed it). Or you can wait for the new EP1-4 patch, where this won't even be a problem.

Work on the EP1-4 update patch is almost finished, but we'll probably need about a week to straighten everything up.

I tried, but I can't uninstall the East Asian languages I have installed.
I won't turn to English, but to Italian.

Ah, no, that isn't the problem. Open the Region and Language window from the Control Panel and hit the tab on the far right. There should be an option there to change your system locale for "non-Unicode programs". Right now, it should be set to Japanese; change it back to Italian, and things should look normal again after a restart.

You'll see... the dialogue text that supposly that the characters talk & stuffs and you need to click it a lot....well for a reason the text goes fast & well... let me explain it with a pic.

I cannot read Japanese, but I can understand English (only reading, not writing > <|||)
