I don't know if there's anyone at all who will agree with me, but the saddest death I've seen is:

Gundam Seed

Spoiler:

Some other very sad deaths that have been said already:

Saikano

Spoiler:

End of Evangelion

Spoiler:

RahXephon

Spoiler:

FullMetal Alchemist

Need I say it? Everyone knows what I'm talking about, and if not, read any of the other FMA spoilers.

And I think that's about it...

Just watch 'The Night the Earth Stood Still: Giant Robo'. As much as I want to stand by Macross, GR had me sobbing long before the end, and once you know why everything in that OVA happens the way it does, you're sobbing from episode 2 on.

I think it's that one anime where the mom... or is it the dad? die before the anime even begins. Oh that's right, that's like %90 of anime.

Scryed

After reading through all the messages, I was quite surprised at the fact that no one had mentioned Scryed. Maybe it's not as popular as I though it would be, an amazing anime after all, but anyway I'll contribute for anyone who has seen it.

Scryed
Spoiler:

I would also like to thank Dark__sun for the help with the spoiler message.
