Where did my subtitles go?

Hi, folks,
wonder if you can help me out here, Iīve been following Shugo Chara with my nieces for a while now, but recently, I stumbled into a problem.

I donīt know what happened, if Win XP declared war on Matroska/MKV files or did an upgrade on Windows Media Player or something, but overnight, the subtitles stopped showing.

I tried playing the episodes on VLC but there, surprisingly, I donīt even get video.

help.

You shouldn't be using Windows Media Player anyway, just follow D404's link.
