Kurenai 6 [BSS]

Subtitles display fine for OP and ED, but not for the main episode. Using Media Player Classic with CCCP on Windows XP Media Center. They're all in the same folder.

The OP and ED have hardubs, so they will always play regardless.
Have you tried just right click->Filters->DirtectVobSub->Show Subtitles?

Make sure you're not using the MPC internal renderer.

It's checked.

It does this with Zoom Player, too.

Does it work if you move the OP/ED out to another folder? (This is not a solution but an experiment to determine the cause of the problem.)

I now have subtitles...
Oh well, I don't like the OP/ED anyway.

It's obviously some kind of VSFilter faggotry. I dunno if it's related to XP Media Center or if it's some setting gone wrong somewhere; you could try reinstalling latest CCCP (resetting all settings) or changing video renderer (unlikely to solve anything but still).

If you use Media Center to watch fansubs, I'd recommend using Media Portal instead. It had no problems with Kurenai 6, plus it supports chapters (very useful), selectable sub and language tracks (not that this matters much for fansubs) and also remembers which episodes you have seen and which you haven't yet.

See here for screenshots.

Media Center is unusable for anything.

For some reason, moving the OP and ED files out of the folder made the subtitles appear. We'll see how episode seven goes...

Thanks for the help, guys.

I am having this problem as well. If a chapter without subtitles loads (the OP and ED), then when I skip back over to the main file, VSFilter doesn't pick up the subtitles. When I right click on VS filter and then just change tabs in the settings (don't actually have to change anything), it "wakes up" and realizes there are subtitles again. It's just a few clicks I have to make after the OP plays, but it's annoying.

Anyone have ideas what is going on here? This happens for all files I've tried with seperate OP and ED files (three different series). I'm using CoreAVC, Vista, and the latest copy of CCCP with MPC.
