Something about KK in macro for. How does she stuff all that hair into the helmet? I know it's prehensile [like the Maid Guy ] but it's rather outlandish for it to roll up into the helmet by itself

Also, for a warrior race with a several hundred thousand year history- creating something as meek as Nene after only 50 years of human culture is a shock. The girl pilots a veritable super mecha that's been kicking all manner of alien ass for millenia, and at the first instant of a pair of testosterone charged males beating on each other [more like 1 almost male getting beaten on ], she hides behind her faux loli command officer. This from a race of giants capable of tearing a VF to bits with their bare hands.

I thought Nene was adorable when she hid behind her onee-sama, Klan Klan.

The klanservice was delicious, as always And Michael's VF slapping was totally deserved, as much as a lady killer he may be, nobody insults the klan

As for the derelict ruins, is that an Uraga-class carrier?


Also, for Brera's VF-27, I think it's pretty much confirmed that it has a connection with the NUNS or M-Frontier at least, with it carrying the NUNS/M-Frontier insignia

You're forgetting that DYRL is a movie within the series, it may be possible, but there have been no instances that I can think of that involve full humans being macronised. We do know that half zents can be, a la Emelia Jenius in the M7 movie

I meant Ranka/Mao not Sheryl/Sara and it seems like Sheryl isn't playing Sara anyway from what a few posters are saying. The Zero Movie seems to be a showcase for the current Miss Macross and she doesn't look like someone who would play a Mao.

This episode went really smoothly. I liked the pace and the animation is way better. Mikhail is my third fave male character next to Alto and Brera. When he punched Alto in the face like there was no tomorrow, I was surprised Alto's face didn't swell. I thought for sure he'd have bandages all over his face. Why is Alto so weak? He just likes to bark but the womanizer shut him up in the end. I expected he'll go berserk at Mikhail after that punch but.....geez. Just like how I'm wishing for Ranka to grow a backbone, I'm wishing for Alto to grow fangs. The barking just doesn't cut it. Whenever he's being teased, he'll just growl and not do anything. That's why people take advantage of him and continue calling him princess. I'm ranting. I wanted to see him pwn Mikhail atleast once. He got beat up instead..

I've also started to like Klan Klein more in this episode. I thought it was so cute when she was hiding behind the tree in the graveyard. Peeking on Mikhail lol The flashback scene from their childhood is funny. Mikhail looked like a fat happy kid to me. I haven't seen the subs yet, but he'll probably have a different attitude if his sister didn't die.

Even if this episode is all about Mikhail, they still managed to squeeze in Ranka's affairs on the sides. I totally preferred that guitar/harmonica melody of that random guy waaaayyy better than Ranka's 'debut' song. I didn't like it at all. I wish they would give her a better song. It was a let down, plus the fact that the flowery gay promo stand and Ranka's blue outfit just didn't match at all. I feel like the producer is just out to humiliate Ranka. What is wrong with him? Does he even own a company? I'm still out to find a Diamond Crevasse equivalent song from Ranka. I want to hear better songs from her.

Lastly, I hope to see a decent RankaxAlto scene next episode for a change. I miss those two's interaction.

This is a movie. With male and female leading roles.

Hollywood rules mean there is going to be a kiss somewhere, even if they didn't know it happened historically. In fact, even if it didn't happen, the script writers of the movie would still put one in.

Nah, it's probably Alto playing Sara All for making human civilisation even more gender confused than it already is.

Ranka needs a better image consultant. Maybe Bobby can help her out because the carrot and catsuit isn't helping at all

About Brera and his showing up.

What's with the fleet anyway? Can't they tell when there's an illegal launch out from their own back yard. The military has gone really sloppy for that to happen.

Anyway, he probably aimed for the reactor of that ship in order to 1 shot it. Which is a comment on the state and quality of the weapons and vehicals used by humans. Peace has pretty much made terrans soft.

KK did pretty well for herself in the beginning of the fight. Classic zent style to close in and overwhelm the opposition with the gattling blaster. Pity she got outclassed by a heavier beam weapon. Her turret arms was what probably saved her in the end by sheilding the cockpit from the attack.

Ya, the QR would probably do well with a combat shield like on a VF.

Burner of Anime if we are right that the VF-27 is made by General Galaxy it would explain why it can't be seen.

General Galaxy specializes on stealth variable fighters like the VF-17 and VF-22.

I doubt Alto could kick Mikhail's butt in any field but Kabuki. Alto is a good fighter, but he lacks the tactical insight Mikhail has, Alto's recklessness and quick thinking makes up for some, but for now, in combat potential he doesn't hold a candle yet against Mikhail.

Clearly Mikhail has issues, despite caring a lot for Klein, he takes his frustrations out on her.
Klein takes it cause she cares for him as well, but when he steps out of line, she makes it clear to him, like slapping his Valkyre

Lots of room for relationship developement, i sure hope to see more of that

Yes, it's not shure. but giving the fact that human genetics are close enough to zentradi genes to give birth to half breeds and Emiria was able to macronise, the chance is high that a full human may be able to be macronised too.

Also remember that Michael has those pointy ears wich indicate a partial zentradi heritage (At least if that wasn't disclaimed somewhere). That makes it even more likly that he may be macroniseable.

Yeah, definitely. I'd like to think that humans can be macronised because of their genetic similarity with Zents, but until we see one in proper Macross canon, I'm going to remain a bit wishful about it
