This movie is definately geared towards Rukia fans, just as the second was geared towards Toushiro fans.

Judging from the poster, she probably gets "spirited away" or something, it definately has something to do with her "disappearing"

I hope they make Rukia ooc and do something stupid and dumb that would make the majority of the fan base hate her...J/K!! Heheh. I'm not that twisted!

Seriously though, I hate it when the lead feamle is extremely more popular than the other lead female. It makes the fan base feel so unbalanced, and unfair. But I guess it's my fault for having a habit of shipping the underdogs. >_>

Who is the other "lead" female? As far as i know, there was only one. All the rest are just other characters surrounding the two: I&R.

True; the series did start off with the two of them (usually, the characters first to be formally introduced are the main characters...). I think of Orihime as more of a lead

Inoue has never been a female lead and will never be. She is in the same cathegory as Renji, Chad and Ishida but she is an important character in the current manga arc.
Ichigo and Rukia are the hero and the heroine of Bleach.
I doubt the movie with Inoue as a star will be in any way interesting. Hehe...a Hichi-movie or Kenpachi-movie or even an Aizen-movie have a much better potential. xD
Anyway, it's getting a bit offtopic.
I'm actually looking forward to this movie... Rukia is not my favourite character but I can practically smell a lot of Ichigo (oh, yeah, my baby) x Rukia interactions. It's gonna be juicy. Even the short trailer is juicy. Mmhm...I love Ichigo's cry. And I love the title of the movie...kudos to Kubo-sensei.
The movies are for joy. I hope this one will be enjoyable. Oh, damn, I forgot I would be able to watch it.....not so soon. The movie OP/ED aside... xD

HT, I have never seen or heard about this article. But I know the interview where Kubo sais that Ichigo and Rukia are the main characters of Bleach. I guess the one who is right is Kubo-sensei, judging by how he never gave Inoue a single colorspread with the male lead aka Ichigo. xD She is an important character, yes. But she is not a lead character. Like I said, she's always been in the same group as Renji, Ishida and Chad.
