I don't know, the haxx powers were part of what makes this series interesting. Of course, you can go with Vento's fashion sense, but it would be interesting to see what Haimura-shi has in store.

About Grenlim I don't think they are just another faction of fundamentalists.They are a new section of occult made to combat the science side. They probably are a gathering of different religions but what is more interesting is that they merged science with magic. They probably are developing a way to create physical phenomena that would be impossible using magic to make it work, just like the attack that destroyed Radiosonde castle. If is like that Imagine Breaker would still have any effect?

The one in Haimura`s blog talks about when Touma meets Maika(non confirmed),probably when he pays her lunch(see vol5 whenTouma is talking with Aogami and Tsuchimikado,right before Misaka tackle him). The other one illustrations really are from Haimura, so I think it really happened bu as I never read before I can`t say 100% sure.
