There is the off-chance that he's bluffing, but that doesn't seem likely. It's more likely he'll get injected in a struggle or someone will walk in and stop him.

Or that Kallen convinces him otherwise.

If that's what actually happens, it's going to be something really cliche along the lines of "Don't do this Suzuku, it's beneath you." Meh. I'd rather see her struggle and break the glass than see something as cliche as this, but you get the idea. Actually, why doesn't she just break the little glass containing the refrain. That's certainly easier than trying to overpower someone and escape from an enemy facility. Just break the little bottle.

Oh I'm sure she has some assets she can use.

And I mean intellectual if she can calm Suzaku down.

That or something pops up.

Suzaku isn't exactly of a sound mind in that scene. Or rather what I mean is that he is not really looking for anything other then for someone to give him something to link Zero and Lelouch. Unless she tells him that Lelouch has gone back to being Zero again it is unlikely he will stop unless someone walks in to stop him.

I doubt things are gonna get physical and even if they were suzaku would take her down easily, We've all suzaku fight. Anyway I still don't get the disgust with the refrain situation. If a terrorist knew Osama Bin laden would he not be tortured for information?

She's not a terrorist.

She's a soldier in the army of an internationally recognized country.

hmm....I guess you can see it that way, I don't remember when the United states of Japan becaming an internationally recognized country just because Zero declared it. Even the Chinese Federation still refer to them as the Black Knights. Even though this is still war and Kallen is still one of Britannia's enemy. I think the amount of body count she and the Black knights have racked up is plenty good enough to warrant torture for information

Torture is the worst, most ineffective way to get credible information out of someone. See: John McCain on torture.

She is only a terrorist if the Britanians win. George Washington was a terrorist when he crossed the Delaware and slaughtered english soldiers celebrating Christmas. He is a hero, just like Kallen

The Black Knights are the armed forces representing the United States of Japan. And if they were not internationally recognized then why would countries sign treaties and charters with them? Kallen is protected by international law as a POW, regardless of the body count she racked up, unless you are implying that ace fighter pilots also warrant torture if captured.

The upcoming episodes will force them to if they don't already. They do recognize international prisoner treatment standards, as evidenced by Guilford.

Guilford clearly did when he asked Zero how to treat the Order prisoners.

They have been seen to abide by them, otherwise they would have just stormed the Chinese consulate when Zero set up shop there.

You must've missed the parts where Guilford and the Graston Knights do everything they could to avoid war against the Chinese Federation during the early episodes.

Despite the fact that they were losing men and under fire, they pulled out without firing any shots (or a lot for that matter). They could've easily destroyed the Black Knights right there but couldn't or they would've sparked an international conflict.

Even Schenzeil followed it as well. He only assisted the Enuchs a bit as a support group as it was their problem during that fight with Zero, not his. Again he could've easily destroyed the Knights but couldn't because of the international situation.

Lelouch has based his strategies recently on the fact that he KNOWS the britannians can't break the laws and standards.

In regards to the Knights they cannot be treated the same way until the Britannians actually come to an agreement with them (or sign a treaty dicating on the treatment of prisoners). Much like how during WWII Soviet prisoners were treated a lot more harshly than Allied soldiers by Germany mainly because the Soviet Union never signed the agreement at Versailles that dictated how prisoners were to be treated.

I don't know about using Jphn McCain as a good source especially since he isn't a specialist on the subject and besides if torture is worst, most ineffective way to get information I think modern society would've gotten rid of it by now. I don't support torture but that's how things are
