The challenge now with the manga now is keeping things fresh. By now the reader has been trained to spot all the essential key points and can easily deduce what is going to happen based on previous chapters. The shock of gore has worn off and he needs to keep thinking of more disgusting things to show, BTW i'm glad the manga got resumed by a scanlation group after so long.

EDIT: I also found it strangely hilarious how the perpetrators in this chapter turned out to be foreign otaku pedophiles, A fact i wish would have been explored in a bit more detail.

Pretty tame by Franken Fran standard i think. Still it is good to see more chapters coming out.

Oh veronica, I'd be a pedo for you any day no matter how many scars you have. I'm so glad we got another veronica chapter again, this really put me in a good mood. And the fact that the series was brought back from translation hell is even better. I'm so glad we get to see Fran and her wacky antics again.

Love this manga, due to its rather unique characteristics and huge gore factor. Fran is the cutest thing ever, in a grotesque way <3

EDIT: Oh and Veronica is ofc in a class for herself.

Well then, that's a different story. Hopefully I wont get any cuts if I act like my natural self, she does seem to be a nice little girl if you get to know her....just don't piss her off.

that is not really the problem. her just by being nice could also be quite detrimental to your health.

Check the first page of the chapter. The cult is CALLED the FSM Cult. So they were expecting it.

Fran suggested in the final page that the faith made It real.

This chapter is more hilarious than scary though. Also, Fran is a biology expert but it seems that she is a mechanical and electrical expert as well if she could create those artificial organs.

Chapters are coming out at a good pace. Keep up the good work.

Theoretically we can already do this, it is just hideously expensive and nobody would be able to afford it. Is is often mentioned that our liver can do what dozens of chemistry labs in tandem can't do.

The idea here is that Fran was forced to NOT use any organic components at all. No enzymes, no cellular tissue from donors. So everything has to be done mechanically, via filters, heat, and inorganic catalysts like platinum, copper and zinc. I assume she didn't actually design this alone, but hired experts to work with her on this. She is the physician, so someone else has to pour the concrete.
(There is actually a small scale imitation digestive system in a science museum somewhere. You put a burger in one end, and you get something resembling faeces coming out of the other. They cheated in having intestinal bacteria in the system, and it doesn't produce any energy, but the idea is similar.)

I swear the author is making critique against religious cults and organized religion somewhere in there while referencing the FSM. A little more seriously, while I in my American context inevitably gets a vague taste of Scientology in there, Japan actually has its share of religious scams and even traumatic experiences with terrorism from fanatical cultists, so authors of fiction critiquing the dangers of cults whether seriously or satirically is nothing new there either.
