Ong Bak 2
Any action fans in the house?
This sequel, sort of, comes out in December 2008. The trailer had my blood pumping at an alarming pace. I know, "less talk more look-ey."...Youtube LinkSo, who is excited? There is more information on Wiki.

Is it a prequel as in, a direct prequel with Ting, or a semi-prequel?
Because it looks a bit like the movie takes place in a whole 'nother time period with another character. We certainly didn't see him fuse many different martial arts in Ong Bak 1. He did some capoeira, but that's about it. Certainly no kung fu. |

As far as I understand, there is no relation to the previous movie what so ever. This movie is actually a remake of an old, low-budget movie Ai Noom Saraphad Phid where Tony Jaa starred, but was never released. I guess the production crew thinks they can ride on the huge success of Ong Bak if this movie went under the same title.
I personally could care less as long as I can get my fill of the action.

I hope it stays true to the format of Ong Bak 1 mindless raw bone crunching action with non exsistant plot . Its thanks to Ong Bak I started watching thai movies . Recently I watched Dynamite Warrior, that made me feel like pulling my eyes out and pour acid into my sockets .
Hopefully Ong Bak II measures upto Ong Bak 1I

Wow, this looks like it's going to be awesome. Although I couldn't say much for the acting in both Ong Bak and The Protector (though the action was and still is Guh-REAT), I have great awe for muay thai and I will definitely go see this one!
