The concept is idiotic. Giant robots playing basketball. With giants sports shoes to boot? Terrible. Totally killed any motivation to begin watching the show.

Aquarion was hilarious (I enjoyed it much more when I watched it again last year than I did back in 2005 where I dropped it and anime period pretty much) and I can't believe had badly Basquash bombed in dvd/bluray sales... oh well I'm sure Macross Frontier Movie will make up any money Basquash lost for Satelight.

Edit - First episode of Basquash is pretty damn awesome actually, sure it has a stupid concept but at least it was unique and it was a visual tour de force in the first episode.

So i'm staying on topic, advertisements for the film are everywhere it seems. The Macross Frontier train is one of them.

"This is the Yamanote Line train bound for - Shinjuku and - Shibuya. The next stop is Takadanobaba. Please change trains here for the Tozai Line, the Fairy Express Line, the Sagittarius Spiral Arm Line, and the Seibu Shinjuku Line. LISTEN TO MY SONG! The doors on the right side will open."

Is this the real announcement for station stops or did you cook that up? I'd think it'd be a great promotional tool.

It's mostly real...but I added in the Sheryl stuff.

The Yamanote Line was my main mode of transport for three months...I've got most of the announcements burned into my brain, especially for the stops between Nippori and Shinjuku.

(And by the way, advertising on the Yamanote is PREMIUM. Really, really expensive. It's the line that just goes in a big circle around Tokyo, and stops at most of the really big, crowded areas. Millions of people ride it every day. So props to Bandai for putting up the money!)

Whenever I see a train in Japan, I am often reminded of those hot summer days when I had to ride one... with the AC broken, during rush hour...

I'd say it's because of that attire. It's happened before.

Well, remembering a certain scene in episode five, I think Ippus may have a point.

She does. Two, in fact. Her hopes and dreams, even.

You didn't even watch the first episode? While it's nothing to change the anime landscape, there's some fun to be had - and a GREAT helping of animation. Some nice music, too.

Nonetheless, the movie's release date is almost here, huh? Saturday seems a long way away... even more so for those of us who do not live in Japan.

As I said, the concept just is too stupid to work for me. I read the early summaries at Random Curiosity and just lost all interest afterwards.

And yeah, only a few days.... I wonder how long it'll take for the first summaries to appear... and for the first fake spoilers.

actually, Sheryl had the biggest boobs when wearing really loose outfits like in Star date;

On the other hand when she's in swim wear and stuff she shrinks drastically ]D

That's kinda useful Alto gets to choose between moderate or big-sized buns with Sheryl.

I swear they're big when she wears that black-censor-strip stage outfit...
