Jaggies when switching monitors?

Can anyone explain this one?

'Kay, so I've got three displays (two monitors and a tv) hooked up to two outputs. That is, I can run two of the three at a time. Whenever I switch between the monitor and the tv, basically whenever I want to watch anything, my video becomes jagged, as if it's not smoothing when resizing. The only way I know to fix this is to restart, which takes forever. I believe it's some sort of Direct3d problem. Does anyone know a less annoying way to fix this?

I'm using MPC with ffdshow, if that helps.

How are you running three displays at the same time with only two outputs?

Also, what video renderer are you using? (In MPC: view -> options -> output -> directshow video)
