Looks to me like that's a part of the frame, where the legs connect to the body, not the GN-Drive.

To add to the point.... That position would look very, very wrong for a GN Drive.

It somehow resemble the combination of a Gundam Throne "Torso" with it's "Crotch Cockpit".

Folded arms would fit, but I don't know for the Orb, head and legs.

Its definitely a mobile armor... But it doesn't look transformable. Hard to tell though, since we don't know the real size of the thing.

I think that it can transform into what we see Ali has in the opening. The cockpit is similar and the color scheme is the same. The rod thing in that shot could be the Buster Sword.

Ali's cockpit is different from Nena's. Nena's cockpit has a silver, white and pink colour scheme while Ali's is just silver and red.

Seems pretty similar to me.

The different colors could just be from the light of the environment.(Sunny day on Earth compared to space) If not then Ali could just have something really similar.

Cause maybe they thought an aerodynamic shuttle is faster, stealthier, and more combat effective than an 18m tall humanoid mecha?

Just remember that ali's throne was basically split in half...so he was in a similar situation to patrick; GN drive blown off, cockpit remaining

In the third episode we can see that Seravee can create a ball of GN particles lo focus its four beam into 1.

Since that indicate that it has a great control on the particle generated there's the possibility that it can even create a GN particle cage (ie. to stop something form attacking), no?
