Oh Saji, your not naive your ignorant. Kira was naive but not stupid. Although Sergei is a man that even I would trust, but that was still a foolish move. Now he has leaned his lesson, now he knows who the bad guys are.

And there might even be hope for Soma. I hope

Well, it's standard protocol to show respect to people above you in the military. I don't deny that some of the respect may come from Sergei's reputed skill, but Ali, as Gary Biaggi, was still below Sergei in rank.

And in my eyes, he hasn't really performed all that well...but whatever.

(Plus, the Trinity aren't really 'self-described' poor...after their first showing, all they really do, truthfully here, is get beaten time and time again. Villain Decay.)

If Soma and Katie don't defect I think its a complete waste of time to be showing all this character development only to show them as dying so Allleliujah can angst over Marie being dead.

Another wonderful episode, Saji accidently causes hundreds of deaths, and its made abundantly clear that Catalon needs Celestial Being. Ali returns and his just done a massacre of his own, not wasting any time at all are we?

Soma, and Katie both get more character development, and its made clear that both are not A-Law material. If they defect than this episode will be a great setup one. It also shows something I kept waiting for Code Geass to do which was show that not all Britannians are dogs, but they never did, and 5 episodes into season 2 Gundam 00 has already given me what I asked for. This is easily shaping up to be one of the best gundam series ever, a masterpiece that made me glad that I still watch anime.

Graham was my favourite character in the first season until the last episode, which ruined him. Setsuna had just fought an epic (and tiring) battle with Alejandro, and the Exia was suffering the side effects of coming off Trans-AM. And Graham still couldn't lay a decisive blow.

Anyway, I'm not really a fan of Ali, and find it stupid that he survived. Sure, he was based of Gauron, but that is no excuse for him to be given Gauron's insane and ludicrous penchant for surviving the destruction of his various Mechas. Besides that, Ali's survival demeans Neil's death.
=[ Graham was nowhere near as cool when he was Alto. Alto had way too many cheesy lines and his personality was your average soap opera drama hobo. You can tell because Graham's Seiyuu puts way too much emotion even though the scene doesn't really require it, but he does because they are stupid and make Alto do the dramatic animated ponytail wave with the crystal tears and all that crap..

And yeah, last ep of s1 was dumb. The guy literally should've crushed Setsuna. And failed miserably.

And uh, no offense, but Neil was far less of a character than Ali. Neil was a Piccolo character destined to forever not be anything special other than give advice to the main cast once in awhile and "appear" to be owning and sometimes "equalling" the opposition. I won't say he hasn't had his shining moments, but PLOT wise, the guy was destined to suck more. I mean, he even had to pilot the GREEN GUNDAM. This isn't power rangers people =/ and the proof is in the lack of flute~!

IMO, the Exia didn't really suffer from the Transam. I mean it was still capable of using it's beam weapons and moving around, wasn't it? Plus, the Flag's verniers had to be removed so that the GN Drive can be installed on the back, which btw only powered the beam saber. GN Flag was probably weaker than the Overflag.

Hmm, I guess Sergei isn't a pedo bear after all, I find it strange it took 4 years for them to try to get Soma as his adopted daughter though

No, using Trans-Am puts the Gundam in a severely weakened state, they said as such in S1.

Graham got lucky, pure and simple. If he had came in with the GN Flag against a full powered, Trans-Am ready Exia...he would be dead right now.

Ok so all the talk about who is stronger and stuff i assume its a episode with alot of fights and not just 2 min flying around.

you guys have put my hpes up.

Seems Saji is still a tard. I know a tard when i spot em.

Anyway the only annoying thing bout gundam00 is that they skip between so many characters without much development in an episode maybe thats why i havent grasped how saji's emo mind works.

I agree with Charred Knight They should just focus on 1 person 1 ep then go to the next like in seed but with the plotand story of gundam00 otherwise its gonna be so many characters wasted yet again.

serioulsy if you call that severly weakned state then i have no idea what you would call it when exia's gundam would explode. If it indeed was severly weakned the gundam wouldnt be able to fly do shit at all. Ye it operated just find imo so its just bull.

For the sake of the story and cuz it the end episode that state doesnt mean shit. For Real evenif nukes were flying left and right setsuna woudnt die please understand that

Severly weakened = not even close to the amount of GN particles it can normally output. Which means that it can't move as fast, the weapons are weaker, and the machine itself is heavier (GN particles make it lighter).

I'm sorry if you don't wanna hear it, but Exia would have taken Graham's face off with relative ease had it not been in a throwdown beforehand. That's the long and the short of it.

Anyway, any further discussion of this should be taken elsewhere, as we're getting off topic.

yet exia moved fast enough to fight graham in that fight so its still bullcrap.

Nor did setuna ever kill graham when his gundam was just fine.

ALso if this whole bla bla severly weakened state even was an issue then allelujah should have said ooooh myyyyyyyyy gooooooood its the machines fault i just used trans-am im in a severly weakened state thats why i got shot.

And no he didnt say that so serioulsy in that fight the activation did not matter for the battle between setsuna and graham go rewatch it and tell me if it moves slow. it doenst nor does it seemlike 50000 kilo machina floating in space so please save the severly weakened.

the whole key to using this transam argument is if the pilot actually mentioned it. Otherwise i could say bull crap like graham has been coughing blood previous eps so he couldnt perform well

Wrong topic guys/

Actually it's a weakened suit vs. an incomplete suit.

The Flag is not made for the GN-drive and that's why it's unstable and too much G, Exia used Trans-am and Setsuna is exhausted.

If you put all of those factors together, it would be a tie.

Anyways, Saji (even though he is a douche), did not directly cause the massacre, he indirectly caused it. The Feddies just pinpointed his location as a probable Kataron base.

Thats basically how i also think is just that this argument its severely weakened been going on too long. Its like people think that flag was so powerful it could be on par on a gundam that has a pit less particles

I'd suggest not wasting time arguing with people who seem to forget that this is a work of fiction and that things occur to further the plot, not to fit with the physical laws of the universe or the emotional attachment of one's fapping, but I think you're probably enjoying the fruitless back and forth of the internet forum argument.

Decent episode; I'm happy about all the character development they are attempting to do, just worried that there isn't even remotely enough episodes to satisfactorily conclude many of them.

I'm curious how Setsuna is going to survive (well, beyond "plot-device" that is ), and I wonder if this now means that Marina is going to stay with CB.

I'm also curious as to why Soma had the reaction she did at Lyle's "movements" in his Gundam. I wonder if it has any connection to the mumblings (broken off mid-sentance unfortunately) Sumeragi had a few episodes back when contemplating Lyle's performance (a performance which seemed to have caught the others of CB by surprise). I suspect there's more to Lyle than Catalan member who goes through moral angst when they and CB inevitably find themselves splitting over something.

Can't wait to see some Innovators in whatever shining Gundam-like suits they have fighting CB.

Saji is still riding the short bus.

I was enjoying the attempt they'd made this season to actually depict strategy in battles, so was a bit disappointed that the one in this episode fell back on random generic mecha fight with pretty lights. Hopefully the writers haven't used up all their creativity already.

Random Curiosity has a summary up.

It appears that Soma just accepted Sergei's offer to adopt her.

You know, I sympathized with Saji in S1 because really, anybody would angst over that: your girlfriend lost her arm, and her entire family(literally). In season 2, he's becoming quite the hypocrite. I'm actually starting to hate him as much as I did with Suzaku at the beginning of Code geass R2. If he continues he might actually get worse than Suzaku, cause at least Suzaku could have done something and wasnt an angsty brat all the time

Oh, and anyone else feel like Soma's saying out loud that she'd like to become Sergei's adopted daughter has just sealed the fate of Sergei to death, with the last time spent together being that peaceful moment at Sergei's house before Soma was reassigned to A-LAWS?

But that movement was the save move from Dynames in ep 2 back in season 1....circling around, dodging and extending the right arm to shoot with sniper rifle...and Haro directed this movement in ep 2 season 1 if my memory serves me right

Soma: that was...the famous move from Haro!!!!

kidding aside, I hope the director won't forget this sub-plot and let us know the real Lockoff more XD (I can't help but keep calling him as Lockoff...)

Just watched the epi and man, the show is getting better each epi.
Poor Saji, dude that guy is like cursed rabbit foot. :/
Poor Kataron, poor Azadistan, generally lot of "poor" in this epi.
Next epi will deal with the aftermath so i'm totally looking forward to it. Can't say anything else that has not been already said, so yeah. Super episode overall.

To be honest, and I am more then likely biased here but, I just do not feel all that sorry for Saji in regards to this ep. In the absence of a Bright slap, Saji got what he needed this episode....
