My personal version was: Saki makes it so everyone has the same score, yey they all win.
Or something freaky like, give everyone a minus score and forfeit just before the end of the last round.

There exists tiebreaker rounds for those cases (the only time one plays a west round). And, if anyone, at any moment gets negative points the game automatically finishes. Which brings the interesting question (I'll have to revise the rules for that) of what happens if after someone gets negative points there IS a tie.

Oh BTW, I just saw the subbed version, and when Yumi thanks Saki for the kan I don't think it's because of the possibility to call a chankan (given that you can only ron from a hidden kan when you have a kokushi musou), but because of the new dora indicator.

Although it disproved my own thought that Saki completed her game in the 1st prelims in such a short time with a dealer yakuman worth 48 000 points dealt by that team left with 46 800 points, thus knocking them out in one game.
Yeah... but it was still a pretty fast game. The group of papers that shows Saki's record that Mihoko is holding is only four pages or so. Saki must have gotten some pretty big hands regardless to finish that fast.

Yep, usually people don't do that. When you kan, you have a new dora indicator and for someone who has already riichi-ed, if they tsumo/ron, they get to have two reverse doras instead of the usual one. This may result in the person getting more yakus than usual.

And dora indicators are key to Kana's play. There is an understandable reason why she's there. We'll see.

Hahaha. That's assuming she gets to win hands though. She's not going to win many with Saki and Koromo there. Esp. in Saki's case since her hands seem to come together fairly fast.

So, do we have any of asuki's lovely avatar makers in this thread?

A .gif from ep15 of 9:24-9:25 would be pretty sweet if someone would oblige. <3

(Now to look back and see if anyone made Hisa's ep11 tile flip from 14:28-14:35 yet...)

Unfortunately, Hisa's scene is a bit too big for me to fit into an AS safe avie.

Don't worry, I've been following this series just for that hype, and you'll know the hype didn't come from nothing

Dvd # 1

On other news: the first DVD of Saki was released today.

This blog (NSFW warning) has some nice pictures with differences between the TV and the DVD versions (most of them are also on sankakucomplex).

Saki's "cheating" hand with 15 tiles was fixed, and the censoring in the bath scenes was reduced.

Didn't make this but I uploaded it to my photobucket. It's too big for an avatar though...

Got a character song list for the album. Looks like it's more than just the four captains who are singing. I'm surprised.

The list of those with songs include:

Saki (of course)
Koromo
Kana
Yumi
Nodoka
Touka
Mihoko

and...

Stealth Momo

Nice selection of characters.

The most popular two from each school. I'm not surprised.

That would be so cool if that happened ^^

Spoiler for Saki 15:

Is anyone here good at making .gif avatars? If so then I'd <3 to ask for an icon from 13:07-13:09.. if that's not too much of a problem..? :3
