I feel I must repeat myself:
The music in the opening is very nice, but the concept for the ending animation is better.
(Personally I just want them to animate the instrument playing properly. I was terribly pissed off last year because of that episode of Real Drive with the supposed virtuoso 'playing' Paganini's 24th Caprice...)

EDIT: Grabbing myself a raw. Will comment in about an hour.

I love the ED animation and hate the theme. It's strange.

It's too... Nana Mizuki? For my tastes.

The ending animation is more stylistically appealing, but the opening has a lot of great chick-flick spunk to it at least.

Not that it really matters that much, but the ending's mouth/lip-syncing seems a little awkward to me, but it's still fairly well animated.

Are you referring to White Album?

No, just I associate that type of music in general with her for some reason.

Maybe because of White Album's OP, yeah.

...I really don't like that style. Kind of a 'bleh' feeling.

As far as the ending goes I think the video is solid (though as mentioned the lip-synching does stand out as a bit awkward to me as well), but the singing...how do I put this, the mixing sounds odd and it seems like they could use some practice. Though perhaps that is deliberate considering the premise of the show.

Wow, this could possibly be the best excuse for subpar quality opening and ending music: it's intentional because of the show's premise.

See, this is why I love KyoAni. They can do things like this and get away with it.

Anyways... OP was OK. Big bitrate hog so it made the encoder in me angry. The ED, though, I absolutely LOVE. I love the types of scenes where a person shows no emotion and doesn't move except for the mouth, and can be saying the most profound words ever. It's just something about it I find... well... awesome! ^.^

More tomorrow after I get to time it.

Either praise them for their intend, or blame them for the quality. It goes both ways .
Can't deny the fact that they choose the easy route most of the time, but with style.

=.= The OP has some damn good music under those vocals. Listen to the bassline, even the percussion is better than some of the soft rock junk being produced these days.

Now off to watch the raw. Ciao.

Only if people are willing to let them. After all that's not an inherent trait of there's, it's just the way it seems to go with the core fans. I refer to it as their renewable get out of jail free card.....or at least the doghouse. Never been that big a fan of it myself and honestly I was just putting the theory out there, I'm not saying I support it.......yet.

Of course if you do like the opening/ending at the purely musical level then there's no reason or need to make excuses so all is good.

The korean nationalist try to take down 2chan as a respond on Hetalia but they failed.... miserably.

No other group of core studio fans are so rabidly defendant and worshipful as KyoAni fans are.

This is probably a good thing. Less complaining that way.

Bets the music improves in the OP/ED as the season wears on. Sensing some parallels to Swing Girls in terms of "saving the club" and how well they play...

I absolutely adore the opening music, but I prefer the ending animation. K-ON! seems like it'll be a really funny and enjoyable show. Is it confirmed how many episodes there are?

4chan =/= 2ch.
See that's a dangerous notion. After all, why do you think 4chan would go to so much trouble to troll and put these fake torrents up in the first place. They are making a target of K-On simply based off of the shows large devoted fanbase.

To me though mass complaining and rabid worship are two sides of the same anime fandom coin, and both show a discussional value of zero on their face. It's all about balance and the rare chance that you can get that coin to land end up. That is forum nirvana in my opinion.
