I just realized that any Bleach song that includes Yui sounds good. I discovered Yui, most likely the first Japanese band I ever listened to, and became culturally inspired with Japan. It's strange how simple as listening to one track will actually inspire you to progressively think further of that culture.
Inspirational Song: Yui - Life
I always like Kannagi's opening theme song, all the Toradora tracks, and some Naruto songs were O.K., but overall I didn't like the stuff that came out of "fighting dreamers," seemed kind of too fast and a feeling of rush kind of swept me. So the composed list?
Toradora OP & ED (All of them, nice techno feel to them, as well as some rock - I liked how the lyrics had some form of visual representation behind them. Although, the intention was intended for entertainment purposes, it is revealed that all lyrics to a Japanese song usually hold some symbolical meaning the artist intends for the audience to reveal by themselves).
Bleach: Yui - Life, Pez'moku - Gallop, Arigato - Home Made Kakozu (If I spelled that right)O_o.
Naruto: Definently, most definently No Rain, No Rainbow by Home Made Kakozu.
Edit: All the Clannad, and Clannad After Story OP's and ED's, the singer has a nice mystical voice characteristic Keeps me mesmerized into listening always...

best soundtracks for me have to be Cowboy bebop and Samurai Champloo, all the music is top notch and well worked into the anime. The producer and creator melded music so its not just pleasant to the ear, but also has an importance in the direction of anime of course there are more great osts, but I think the bar set by Cowboy bebop and Samurai Champloo hasn't been topped yet.

Since everybody forgot: Honey and Clover (you can't really go wrong with the insert song and when you HEAR the BGM version of the OP/ED themes, you'd be sucked in)

Bokura Ga Ita and Nana (anime version) is tied for 2nd place.

Macross Frontier
and True Tears is tied for my 3rd choice.

Other noteworthy mentions:

Victorian Age Emma (Emma)
IGPX (immortal grand prix)
Saiunkoku Monogatari

And the rest of the anime found on my sig below (in green)

So do I win for the most non-rock soundtrack vote?
All time Fave list:Honey and Clover; Saiunkoku Monogatari; Kodomo no Omocha; Air/Kanon; Infinite Ryvius; Bartender; Nana; Char's Counter Attack; Shadow Skill TV

Aside from the obvious Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, I liked the soundtrack for RahXephon , the Ghost in the Shell SAC series, and Kurenai. As far as current series go, I'm in love with the music in Michiko to Hatchin, RideBack, and Kurokami.

I personally have found Kara no Kyoukai's and Clannad's my favorites so far. Maeda Jun and Kajiura Yuki are amazing. Gurren Lagann's and True Tear's soundtracks are very good as well.

I swear, Sora wo Itsumo Nagarete, from True Tears, sounds like it would be a song from Little Busters.

Well, lately, I've been finding the One Outs Soundtrack to be very much deserving of a writeup. It's music does an excellent job of capturing the show's atmosphere as it shifts from goofy funk-style rhythms to more serious, ominous, atmospheric pieces when things hit the fan.

Among the latest season's offerings, Rideback's OST is proving to be quite the surprise. A score that can stay between mood music and standout-for-alone-listening indeed.

Been a while since I've felt like actually buying an anime OST.

Shameless advertising, but I have finally finished up my write-up for the One Outs OST which is highly recommended. The post contains 6 samplers that people should definitely check out and I'd definitely suggest that you give it a go if you're a fan of jazzy, groovy music or techno/industrial ambience. It really works well and I can't even recall the number of times I've listened to this album straight through because it's just that enjoyable.

Aria for me hands down...Own every one of the various albums from all the seasons. Probably not for everyone, but I've yet to find a more relaxing and consistently enjoyable bunch of OST's since.

No matter what enemy. No matter what ally. Mowing everything down with maximum destructive power.

That is...
