try Eureka Seven if you haven't already. Great series plus original mecha design.

I don't get what you mean by more Gundam animes when you've listed Code Geass

But for a mecha anime that's a bit different I'd suggest Gasaraki.

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, now airing, watch it and be amazed.

I'll just list you the most commonly recommended, mecha anime that are most widely recognised as some of the best:

Top wo Nerae! - a classic beyond its time.
Top wo Nerae! 2 - Gainax celebrated their 20th anniversary with this sequel after 15 years.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - most famous super robot show in the recent year.
Yuusha Oh Gaogaigar - the best super robot anime ever in the 50 episode category.
Gaogaigar FINAL - alot of us put it as the best mecha show ever.
Nadesico and movie, Nadesico - Prince of Darkness - the show will teach you the spirit of super robots in a real robot world.
Turn A Gundam - alot of us believe it has the best story and character development of the Gundam series.

Below are also popular mentions:

Full Metal Panic, fumoffu and The Second Raid, 3 seasons of great action and humour.
Macross series, I'd recommend you to watch from 'Do You Remember Love'.
Vandread, back when Gonzo still created great anime, Vandread was a good mecha harem.

Actually I still have a very long list, just call for me or something if this list is not enough.

You know, the first thing popped up in my mind when I saw the thread's title and your name is "Sora Kake", lolz .

Back on topic, if you are looking for more Gundam, why not try some UC stuff? Like Zeta Gundam.
Or the current one, MS Igloo, although there is no Gundam, it's great enough to put in this thread.

lol I will spread Sorakake as long as I live, hmmm reminds me of the other thing I sworn to spread

To SkyLight, Sorakake is by Sunrise, to spoof their own anime. You'll see tons of Gundam and Geass references and parodies, definitely will put a smile on your face.

I'd recommend old school Gundam as well. Especially the original Gundam and Zeta Gundam. Just their compilation movies should be enough.

I hate mecha .... Code Geass was other because of its good story - the mecha fights were not the major events^^

*cough*

Since you've watched a couple of Gundams, I recommend that you try the original Universal Century ones.
There is Gundam 0079, which is the original so it is pretty old. If you can not handle late 70's early 80's animation, then either skip this or watch the movies that summarize the whole story.

Next is Gundam 08th MS Team, which is kind of more recent (animation wise). This is more of a different kind of Gundam series since the battles all take place on the Earth.
Other UC series I recommend is Gundam Zeta.
I'll also second Turn A Gundam as well. (for non-Universal Century)

For non mecha, Gainax series is the way to go. This includes Gunbuster, Evangelion, Fooly Kooly, Diebuster, and TTGL. (Order I recommend you watch)

I'll also add the Macross franchise. The ones I would recommend is the original, but if you can not handle the animation, just watch the Do you remember love movie. I'll add Macross Plus, Macross Zero, and Macross Frontier (from order of oldest to newest). All the storylines are different, so it does not matter if you skip around. The Macross series are romance and action.

Mecha isn't really my thing, so I haven't seen much, but I agree with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I watched it and was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

How did Linebarrels of Iron finish? Tell me all spoilers.

I followed all the way to ep 5 or 6. Then put my attention towards 00.
