Well, for starters that's a 'she' I figured it's close enough with the cover considering other propositions here. Let's hear the big ol man

KiNA never said one eye needs to be covered just half of the face; see examples.
It may require a little zoom, to get in range of a confortable half.

@Manju - I believe that would count as a profile shot, which KiNA strictly said was not considered 'half-face.'

If you can drop a bit more so at least her nose is partly hidden, it would be much more preferable but as it is, its as far as I'm willing to be lenient with.



@ BunBun, Marina is right.

Even very very dark shadow counts .. pitch black shadows where the face melt into the BG.

Also, so far, Riker time and again spammed me with a lot of his old works, which fits this theme to a T, you might want to hunt his thread for inspiration

I was not refering to the text (I'm not mean lol, text is fine). The "sticks" are what I percieved to be those five rectangles surounding "The Rising Sun" text.

The rectangles are actually "rays" since it's based on a variation of the japanese flag. I'll see what I can do to clean it up a bit.

I like it. To pick something to critique, perhaps a very light border at the top and bottom so the black bar on the side doesn't look as out of place.

I think the concept is fine, and KiNA doesn't seem to mind it either. To offer a critique, perhaps there is a bit more focus on the guy sleeping than on the girl he's dreaming. I can't really think of any way to bring more focus to her at the moment though.

Minimalistic, but has a sharp look to it. KiNA says it's fine so no problem there, perhaps cut a little off the top and bottom for more emphasis on the eyes (not huge chunks removed, just a trimming. The text is a little confusing, since her look suggests anything but crying (unless you mean crying in another sense).

It feels a bit washed out and the border could use some work (the black corners are distracting). Those petals beg for animation.

Considering the character you chose I think it would be more suitable to present a black fog over lighter background or something that represents his abilities, though colored black as well. Black Getsuga would be great here. White colored fog lessens the impact of the character in my opinion

Urei has the right idea here, the fog feels a little off. I like the choice though, I had pondered using it at one point too. ^^
