I have another one to put in this thread:
Xemnas (First Battle) - Kingdom Hearts 2 The first fight with him. None of the subsequent ones. The setting, music and mood of this battle are all just fantastic. A 1 on 1 duel beneath a single skyscraper in a void of nothingness accompanied with my favorite music track in the series "Disappeared" playing in the background makes for one hell of a memorable fight. Not to mention Xemnas himself is pretty damn awesome too. (God his English voice. <3) Spoiler for Second-to-Last Boss Battle Spoilers:

Yami (Last Boss) - Okami.
This was a last boss battle that I actually had some slight trouble with. Not to mention the fact that this game was so beautifully designed, the final fight only seemed that much cooler. I also think giant spheres are some of the coolest things or a super-villain idea anyways. ![]()

Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts II): I literally found this guy to take the longest time to finally get down. Took me a good 30 tries without taking a break to finally get him finished
gave me such a thrill.

He wasn't impossibly hard. I managed to beat him at level 60 at lowest. Not sure how many tries it took but I know it wasn't 30. xD
The biggest inconvenience was his Sin Harvest Angel attack though since he floats up too high to hit him. Had to be at least getting Master Form to level 3 and aquire the aerial dodge before taking him on, and brought some Elixers just in case I failed to hit him. The Data Org. XIII fights in KH2 Final Mix were even harder, and god are they fun.~

Final Boss Fight?
I would say Baby Bowser from Yoshi's Island at the Super Nintendo, the second phase of the battle has specially a very awesome feeling of epicness. XD

Kirby 64 the Crystal Shards...I don't even know what to call the thing (not Dark Matter, the thing you have to defeat at the end of planet Ripple Star...)
but it was creative having to use the powers it threw out against it. ![]() also... hmmm, I haven't truly beaten many games yet so I can't say for most of them. and the ones I have most haven't been terribly memorable...

I would have to say my most memorable final boss fight would be Orphan's Second From from Final Fantasy XIII. It was my first play through, my Crystarium was fully maxed (at the time; the final level opens up after you've beat the game), and I was going for the Superstar trophy (kill him in the first Stagger period) on the first go. The Doom count was only 3600 (when it hits zero it's game over and it drains at about 1 point/second), and you can't deal any damage to him outside of Stagger. I got my Superstar trophy.

BTW I should also point out that that boss isn't actually the final boss. So dust off the N64 and get all the crystal shards.

I always think of Melfus (sp?) form grandia II, when I first encountered him he kicked my *** though on subsequent playthroughs I remember finding him far easier, probably because I knew what i was doing. I really loved that game though, too bad the final boss was such a pansy.
Demon's Souls Had a couple for me, when I first started the game and it was still quite hard for me, i stepped into the tower knights room to find the boss...who was literally a knight as big as a tower! surrounded by archers no less... He wasn't so bad after I learned how to do it but that first time I walked in there was just so cool. Also the dragon god, first time fighting him and waiting for him to start to breathe fire before dodging away and he...balls his fist and punches me. That was a HUGE fist, and a one hit kill. Had never seen a dragon punch before ![]() Dark Falz form pso, especially on multiplayer. When you got into ultimate difficulty on the dreamcast version he was simply murderous, its just a ifght I always remembered being so much fun (before everyone got too OP) First stage of Olga Flow in PSO ep2, giant monster freefalling around a descending elevator (which your riding) shoving his giant sword through the bottom of it to try and stick you. How cool is that. |

MGS 3 has some of the best boss battles for all games. The last boss battle, the sniper duel with The End, the boss battle with The Fury, and the 'Boss Fight' with The Sorrow being my favorites. Other boss battles in that game are exceptionally good are the battle against Ocelot and the battle against The Fear.
The original MGS has great boss battles, too. Like nearly everyone of them. The fight against the ninja, Pycho Mantis (may be the best boss fight in the game), the second fight with Vulcan Raven, the fights with Sniper Wolf, the last boss battle, and the battle against Liquid Snake in the Hind D are all great boss battles.
