Not sure where to post this, but I figured it would be of the interest of everyone around here, so. Finally!
So this starts next week?

Maybe we should just start a thread in the manga section.

Anyway great news.

Interesting, though I certainly thought of "Moshidara" immediately when I read the premise. Q & A never really seemed to catch on with the fans, so I'm not surprised.

But Q and A is still running in Japan in Gekkan Sunday, I think that was the problem as no one was scanning it as it came out. The scanalators were waiting for the volumes but though 3 and 4 are now out we only ever saw the first chapter of volume 3.

To me it was just getting intriguing...

more Cross Game related bought volume 3 (volume 6 and 7 in Japan) two days ago, while I have minor quibbles with the way it is translated, to hold it in my hand is amazing!!

I finished watching Touch recently. And that is a good show, but all it did was make me long to see Cross Game again I loved Punch and Tatsuya and they are as great as any of Cross Game's characters but Aoba is waaaaay better than Minami. Cross Game also felt more warm and had a better cast. Anyway my point is I liked Touch but I loved Cross Game. Cross Game is like Touch but many things were done better. For example I thought it would have been better
Spoiler for spoiler for Touch:

So now I am watching Cross Game again I had forgotten they had shown us Wakaba's dream in the first episode and I was surprised to see Azuma already in the 4th(3rd?) episode. I love the atmosphere, the characters and damn I still want the soundtrack!

Yeah, what a crime there's no OST...

I love Touch too, but to me it's very obvious that it's the work of a young man while CG is the work of a middle-aged veteran. I look at Touch as a beautiful fairy tale and Cross Game as a bittersweet visual novel. I guess it just depends on which of those you love more - for me, it's CG.

Just began this. Two episodes in and I already know I'm in for something real special...

Haven't gotten this feeling since I watched Clannad + AS!

This time, I will make sure to take it slow and treasure the journey to the end

Looking forward to it! The setup of the show is great and the characters already are turning out to be very likable with depth!

I'll probably be updating this thread as I move through the series, so please no spoilers :P

Looking forward to reading your impressions. Especially when Kyuubey makes his first appearance.

Oops - sorry...

Aoba and Ko's interactions are the best part of the show . I also love the fact that they keep Wakaba as a significant character. I had the feeling that she would be "left as an afterthought" following the first episode. Any flashback with her, however, has demonstrated to bring a lot to the series.

I'm very surprised not enough people know about this...

It's not like we havn't tried

Were you around for "cross game avatar week" where a bunch of forum members used the same cross game avatar?

And then there's the fact the show won quite a few animesuki anime awards.

Anyway keep posting,I love hearing people's thought on the show

Geez, it's not like nobody knows - 3400+ posts on this thread is a lot more than some series get.

From what few times it has been recommended to me, never has the person stated how "epic" it was in terms of the slice of life/romance themes. It would simply be advertised as a "cool baseball anime." Hardly appealing for me :P

Anyways, the pacing of the relationship between Aoba and Ko is excellent. It is slow and realistic, unlike most romance animes out there. It's very nice to see how Aoba is slowly developing respect for him. It is a bit one-sided currently, but that's understandable considering how Ko hasn't moved on from Wakaba.

edit:

Lol, literally EVERY time Aoba sees Ko or hears someone talking about him, her face goes immediately to this:

>:| or >:[

Without fail...lol!

This show doesn't get enough advertisements. Last time we tried to advertise the show before the Animesuki awards we got a global censure (mostly because we were all using the same animated avatar gif) lol.
