Talking Need New Anime

Once again I have run dry with my anime list from last time. This time I would like to have a list of short series 24-26 episodes or 2 to 3 seasons of that (not to big).

I would like them to consist of mainly fighting, which doesn't have to be with swords or fists can be powers ect. I would also like them to have a bit of comedy or romance.
Please base them around the list below, or if they are really good and include a bit of fighting, but are more of a comedy or a bit more of a romance then that is fine just say so

The animes I have watched with action :

Samurai Champloo
Afro Samurai
Berserk
Claymore
Tenge Tenjou
Ninja scroll
Hellsing
Trigun
Cowboy beepop
Gantz
Elfin Lied
Ghost in the shell
Basalisk
Black Lagoon
Kenichi, The Mightiest Disciple

PS: Sorry if my grammar is bad its 3am and I just remembered I need to get a new list

It goes almost without saying, but Gurren-Lagann should certainly be atop that new list. i would also add Needless and FMA: Brotherhood. All are excellent shounen series (Needless is technically a seinen) with loads of GAR action, some comedy and a wee bit of romance.

Full Metal Panic! needs to be on that list too. As does Break Blade and Chrome Shelled Regios.

Oh, Macross Frontier is a must watch too

Full Metal Panic is an obvious one.

Chrome Shelled Regios would fit.

Katanagatari would be a good pick. First two episodes are a bit talky though.

Perhaps Shakugan No Shana as well.

A Certain Magical Index could also be worth checking out.

Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely high quality action, but at 56 episodes a bit longer than you asked for.

Crest of the Stars is also high quality, although a bit more focus on the adventure than the action. There is still plenty of action though (and maybe even too much action in the sequel Banner of the Stars).

Hayate the Combat Butler is more of a comedy, but it does have some action sequences.

Angel Beats maybe?

Also, I noticed Neon Genesis Evangelion was missing from your list.

Neon Genesis Evangelion & FMA: Brotherhood & Break Blade, I will definitely watch. (starting NGE)

The rest I didn't really like the look of it from the plot so I will put them to the side right now.

any more heavy action series?

I'm urging you to give Macross Frontier a try. You won't regret it.

One of my all-time favourites that has a lot of great action and drama is Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~. It's got lovely animation as well as some unique characters.

I am in the same boat as you but I have seen quite a bit more anime. It's addicting isn't it? Anyway, I'm a newcomer to these forums and just started a thread similar to this. Not really trying to spam your thread but I just made a huge list of anime along your lines of taste and I think it might help you out.

Full Metal Panic - Mecha. In addition to the heavy action scenes this has a bit more comedy than romance.

Sengoku Basara - This is all about the GAR. Swords, spears, guns, demonic horses, and even a mech? Lots of action and it seconds as a comedy due to the ridiculous amount of GAR.

Ga-rei Zero - some very slick action scenes here.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - here's some old school action anime.

Canaan - Hot chicks with guns.

Mnemosyne - brutal action with a heavy dose of sex, torture, and alcohol.

Seconding To Aru Majutsu no Index, CANAAN, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Ga Rei Zero, Angel Beats!, and Macross Frontier. Katanagatari is good but dialogue heavy at times. HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD could also fit but it has a lot of fanservice if you can handle it.

Also, if you liked Ghost in the Shell you'll LOVE Dennou Coil, which has a light hearted first half but delves into the dark mystery of the story in the second half. I also recommend Kara no Kyoukai, a phenomonal supernatural/action series of movies.

I'll second To Aru Majutsu no Index.

Its spin-off To Aru Kagaku no Railgun is also quite good with plenty of well animated super power based action scenes and comedy.
