Should Maria-sama ga miteru deserve its own forum?

Should Maria-sama ga miteru deserve its own forum?

Reasons:
(1) Viewed by more than 40000 times
(2) It has the largest post (>600) than any other on-going anime
(3) 2nd season is coming

We've already noticed the popularity of that series (and that particular thread). Do you have more details about the second series, when does it start for example? How many episodes does the first series contain, is it 13?

I've looked at the official web sites but my lack of Japanese is a bit of a hindrance

It is going to be 13 episodes long and will start in the fall.

Shame on you xris, you of all people should have thought to use the search function! This information has already been divulged in the thread that we are discussing here.

Well, to top it off, there were rumors going around in Akihabara and the Musashino area saying that a second season of "Maria-sama ga Miteru" is in the works just right after this season began. Once we learned that "Marimite" is going to be 13 episodes and that there is no way they can cram all 16 volumes of such a great novel series into 13 30-minute shows, we considered this to be highly probable.

The possibility increased when the Katagura's web-diary for the Salon d'ALI PROJECT (which is the music group headed by Katagura Mikiya who is the music composer for the "Maria-sama Miteru" OP and ED themes), that said:

"Tomorrow, March 9th, I have been selected again and have an appointment to cast a pre-recording session for a certain second season. I will be recording a rehearsal composing of 9 string members, piano, flute, and clarinet. More details available soon once I am allowed to..."

Unconfirmed reports of an October release for another thirteen episodes (speculation from 13 in the previous and the same anime company, which is usually the case) - with yet unconfirmed reports of the second season going up to the end of the "Rainy Blue/Parasol o Sashite" novels.

So technically, which it is very probable that it will start in the fall, there has been no official announcement yet. But its one of those things that leaks out and people know that it's going to happen - like the "AIR" movie.

I found conflicting reports.........

http://www.animeomega.iefactory.com/animes/maria.htm (you will need a translator for this one. Yahoo did it for me.) Says 26 episodes.

http://www.anything-asian.net Says 13

So your guess is as good as mine. lol Just thought I would search and see what I could find.

Forget it! The animeomega link is not working.

Most sites would not report that Mari-mite has 26 episodes because it hasn't been comfirmed. It's just a substantiated rumour. However, I'm fairly sure there'd be one too, and yes Mari-mite must get its own forum! w00t!

Holy... 33 pages on that thread already.

Now, I'm not against having a forum for this series, certainly as it's going
to last for a while (with as it seems a second season immenent), so I've
created it.

The only problem may be that it's going to be a series discussion forum that
will start out with absolutely the least amount of threads

Well at least it made the job of locating and moving the threads into the new forum a lot easier

No official confirmation yet. But Geneon has done a terrible job to keep the 2nd season as a secret.

Thx for the special forum for Marimite.
