One wonders how the girls are going to board the ship Jenny is on. Unless they've cleaned the engines, the Bentenmaru is still going to be a bit slow verses the escorts and battleship.

We don't know if the escorts are with whatever ship Jenny is one when the Bentenmaru arrives. Only that they are blasting away at it as some point.

Also one wonders about the sort of side plot that has been running the entire arc so far. Marika's mother's new job. Will she be captain of the ship Jenny is on and thus let the Bentenmaru board? Will they try to fake a routine "piracy" job like they do for he liners in order to kidnap Jenny? They would need an insider to do that. Or insist they are delivering some Princesses from Serenity to the wedding (which they are).

I'm fairly sure they aren't going to just bust out the normal crew for this job and just use the High School Pirates to get Jenny. Means combat experiance, though hopefully they won't need a full on serious boarding action/firefight to get Jenny out. But then, Marika's mom told her that most of the time having a big gun is enough to stop a firefight...as no one wants holes in their spaceship.

And finally, one wonders if Chiaki's father won't be shadowing them, in case of trouble.

Watched ep 16 last night ... was totally not expecting them to show up on board the Apricot in contemporary cosplay outfits and laughed long and loudly.

Also did not expect a mission to save the old Club Captain....

Hmm. Well, still pretty good.

I'm almost certain that will be the case, especially since Chiaki will be part of the rescue as well. Whether he will make an entrance or not I guess will depend on how much trouble the rescue attempt gets into.

Pretty much only Ayanyan and Aki are missing from the lineup. Perhaps they were one of the 1st years? Looks like we have another High School Band coming.

I have no idea who those three badasses to the right of Ririka are, but I hope they aren't just another bunch of allies to Marika and actually provide a good antagonistic challenge...unless they're just Kurihara's crew.

Well, their names are, from left to right, Shane, unreadable and Quartz. Maybe. Ever since Gruelle -> Gruier I doubt my skills at romanizing.

So Mikako-shi's event was to announce her mini album, Cosmic Expo. On sale July 11th.
She sang Yume no Arika (Drama CD BD vol 1 ED song) full version, and another song, 砂漠のタイムマシン "Desert Time Machine", which both will be included in her upcoming mini album.

The best part of watching Nico2 is that we can read the comments of the internet viewers toward the people who were at the live event.

. So what's with Starchild, King Records and whoever involved in distributing MP BDs and Mikako-shi's single. It seems like you can't get them from Amazon

. And yeah the live audiences were noisy :P

Regarding the characters (if the spoilers are true), I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't went with characters from other Sasamoto's books. They could just slap in names like Jumping Jack Flash, Liza, Alex, Alpina and of course, Yuka (all of them are from Hoshi Dance btw). I think all/some of the three characters in that picture are from the Empire wwww.

Spoiler for roles: Unreadable and Shane belong to crew of the... Parabellum. As you have probably guessed, Shane is Kane's brother. Little twin brother, to be exact. Both are helmsmen, I think, and unreadable is the captain. Quartz is... no captain, but the leader of something. That something is called... Grand Cross? Are these guys anime only?
