i was just wondering why this forum didn't use this tag. i adore the image threads in every series i follow, but the lack of timg means the image hosts we can use are limited in number to those who generate a thumbnail for us.

i've been able to get around this problem by using spoiler tags for my images, but i think it would be more convenient to have this tag.

ps. maybe there is a way to thumbnail images on this board and i haven't figured it out yet..

Define "timg tag" ("thumbnail image"?).

Oh god, please don't do it.

Don't be yet another person that puts 1600 x 1200 wallpapers inside spoiler tags with a "for saving space" message attached to it. >_<!

As for thumbnails.......

Hosting sites like ImageShack and Image Host always give you a series of codes you can use to show your image in several places. From there on, it's just a matter of picking the right one for every situation.

The forum's attachement system would also generate thumbnails; if it was enabled.

The following css aplied with selectors for posts would eliminate the need for "saving space" idiocracy:

It's hard to make a thumbnail tag that behaves well with javascript turned off.
The following will work but some people might not figure it out easily:

replacement:

<img class="timg" src="{option}" />img.timg {
   max-width: 125px;
   max-height: 300px;
   padding: 1px;
   border: 1px solid black;
}
The obvious problem here is: it only saves space, doesn't really make the image load faster.

Also, the idea of dealing with the missuses of the [spoiler] tag by introducing the missing functionality has been brought up in the past; the administration may scream at everyone about spoilers but they don't really care about these issues aparently.
